I had a blue heeler for 10 years. Then I got a red heeler. She passed away last year at 14. She was EXTREMELY chill for the breed, and super sweet. My blue heeler was "hell on wheels". Energy wise, not mean or aggression. I must have just lucked out on my red heeler 😂

She was really nice and trusting for a blue heeler. I had one and she gave no bleeps about being warm and friendly. She only trusted people that she knew our family welcomed or were friendly with. They are sassy dogs 💕

My parents have a blue heeler and although she likes water, she absolutely hates the vacuum cleaner, or anything that makes a loud noise. Great breed.

Yeah I’m not sure why but any Heeler really doesn’t like lawnmowers, vacuums, hair dryer, leaf blowers basically if it’s loud and blows things it’s a no go and it will chase and attack

My heeler does fine with blow dryer and is even fine being next to a hot air balloon while it’s inflating and likes flying in one too! 😊

This is the video I've been looking for. I also have an ACD Hank, and he is so reactive to the blower. The last groomer he went to he was there for 8 hours or more because he wouldn't allow her to dry him. I haven't taken him to a groomer again and I really need de-shedding help. I'll try these techniques and continue to muzzle for groom time.

My blue does the same, with the shower and the dryer, and the brush. Not at me, but at the devices. My blue , slapped the brush out of my hand the last time. The word, " BATH" Sends him into hiding...and there is no budging.

I always bathed my own dig by sitting inside the tub with her. She was 50 pounds not a little dog but I wanted her to know I was with her in this experience . I did not over bath her either. The skin can get dry and then there are other issues. Brush yoyr dig when you are on the toilet, or during the commercials watching television or on a walk. In the back yard or on your front step/yard, or the garage. But have some warm water from sink to start with if not warm weather. Cold water is hard on us both uf nit just jumping into a pool of cool watercwith reason. If you cannot do it, then either you are lazy or your dog is mean dog about bathing. This is a great bonding time you should have with you dog(s). Drying in a heated home or it is warm weather take care of that. Keep old towels or old tee shirt foe them to wear for a little time, for drying. 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤😊😊😊

Think about it . Dogs have very teander ears . Its the sound of the drier . Why do you use ear protection and he doesn't get to . Think sound and compressed air on DOG ears . Is painful.

hi! i work at a grooming salon and i try the happy hoodie with every dog i dry, but some actually freak out MORE with it on. they’ll start flailing around with the happy hoodie secured normally over their ears, pawing at their face and eyes which can be very dangerous if they have a duclaw. at this point its much more beneficial to remove the happy hoodie as it is doing more harm then good. not sure if this doggo didn’t like the happy hoodie but, just something i wanted to share. the happy hoodie does wonders for many scared and nervous pups but not all will allow it to be used on them.
