Great vid! My Heeler Bella will turn 6 on Saturday. She’s my second Cattle Dog and I’d never have anything else. She’s the most affectionate dog in the world with people she knows. But if she doesn’t know you and she thinks you might be a danger to her space or especially her people , she’ll take your face off! I like that about her.😊👍 I’m a new subscriber.

My blue healer was dumped off on my farm. He was good , had been mistreated. But now he thinks he runs the place. Tick does not want my husband touching me or a simple kiss goodbye. He is spoiled but my true friend and protector. Tick does not me out of his sight. I truly love my Ticky. Real name is jerrico.

Can you help me? I have a 2 year i Old blue heeler who will when I walk him will lunge at other dogs and he's a leash biter I need help I've tried a head harness that seems to work but he likes to bite it and not let go when he sees another dog. I've gone through w head harnesses and that seems to be the only thing to help control him on walks. I currently have a regular harness on him but he still pulls with it on I'm terrified one day he's going to get away from me and bite some one any tips on how to stop any of this bad behavior? He seems fine around humans unless they walk towards me then his tail goes up and ita hard to get his attention. I'm grateful for any tips

I adopted a heeler mix from the SPCA and he refuses to let the vet touch him. He has to be heavily sedated just for a shot. Any suggestions? I do have to watch him around strangers but I would not consider him aggressive but more protective.

Hello, I have a red heeler very similar to this one. He is 3 years old and short tailed. He’s so loving and amazing to the people he’s comfortable with but in the last two years he’s become very dog aggressive to all dogs and randomly human aggressive male or female, he doesn’t like new people at first and lashes out by snapping and losing it . I thoroughly enjoyed your videos but was wondering if you have any more of detail work with Sherlock? My dog can sit stay rollover and play dead but for some reason he’s scared to meet new dogs and people. Thank you in advance!

All the obedience in the world such as sit, stay, heel.....that will do nothing as far as his mental state around people. The best thing you can do is get your dog out daily around people. Make new people boring to him. Do not let people just walk up and pet your dog. Show the dog you are in control of every situation. When you are in the house and company comes over, he/she needs to learn to go lay down. You need to make sure to make it clear to everybody not to pressure your dog or approach it. If your dog approaches a new person, that person should not reach out to it, do not make eye contact, do not even speak to the dog. Completely ignore the dog as if its not even there. Reverse the role. The dog should be the one wanting attention. The people should play hard to get. I dont recommend your dog being allowed on any furniture such as couches or beds. You own everything. If he gets on something make him move. Not in a confrontational way, but calmly move the dog to the floor. Start imprinting a new leadership role with your dog.

Hi I have a blue Heeler that’s 1.5 years old and he just recently went from showing fear towards unknown dogs and people to being super aggressive. My parents have a puppy that’s about 5 lbs and tonight he kept trying to attack the puppy unprovoked. I tried to get between him and the puppy to protect the puppy and he bit my hand. I don’t think it was really to bite me, but more that i got in his way. I know his behavior is going to get worse if it’s not corrected, but I don’t know what to do. What would you recommend?

Where are you located? I have a blue heeler who could absolutely benefit from some proper training by someone who's knowledgeable and down to invest the time/energy ykno? I love him so much, he's the sweetest thing really .. he's just got some anxiety and is lacking much of any social skills, while he's also extremely territorial and protective of his space and his people (aka: myself and my daughter, Rylie (17yrs) My dog, Rex is only like 3 years old currently tho so I genuinely believe he's totally still able to learn and improve his behavior for the best interest of all involved, especially Rex.

Thisisnt Mahname condition the dog to a remote collar. then start using the collar to correct the dog when you see his body language start to get tense. you have to make the correction count. you cant wait till the dog has escalated into aggression, must make the correction early.

Top Dog obedience I know it’s been four years but my red heeler just started to show signs of doing this kind of thing (she’s 10 months old so it JUST started) and it’s so hard to watch her do that and not know what to do- I’ll be using this! Thank you so much, seeing another heeler do this kind of thing and then seeing how to correct it exactly for this case is beyond comforting. Now to order an e-collar

How does a dog get this aggressive towards other people and dogs? I work from home and I'm with my blue heeler pretty much 90% of the day everyday. Shes about 8 months old now. I heard they are very territorial and very aggressive towards other people and animals around thier owner but she is ridiculously happy all the time and absolutely loves other dogs and people. She even does good with dogs that are aggressive towards her. So my question is I dont understand how other blue heelers or dogs can get aggressive like he was when you first got him?

Alot of it was because he was spoiled rotten and never heard the word No. Some of it is genetics. There really isnt any one reason.

I have a 7 year old Heeler named Marty and he is strait up vicious to any other human except me. He does not look away twitch his ears nothing he locks eyes and does not respond to the other persons dominant commands to stop he has no fear I would say he is actually very confidant of course he is muzzled and on leash during these encounters otherwise he would have caused some injury he has bitten in the past. But with me he can be hard headed but is mostly a big loving baby he has challenged me at times and even bit me before he accepted me as his alpha and I will admit it took me defending myself and giving him a real knuckle sandwich to get his attention he had to shake it off I'm sure he was seeing stars but after that he stopped all the canine dominant games and fell in line with me. I keep him away from friends and family and if I have to have him around anyone due to my going out of town to work I keep him muzzled on leash and he stays in his kennel.I only have him around guy's who know to steer clear of his personal space. I have never seen anything like his form of anger management issue before. I will send you a video if you would be interested in giving me any suggestions on where to start with attempting some kind of socialization exercises with him

Sounds like a Heeler to me, That's why we keep them as guard dogs in Australia, I'm more afraid of heelers than I am any other dog no other dog has actually set a trap for me. got to remember they are part wild animal there is no taming a dingo. They are bred to drive very much wild cattle they dont have fear they hardly feel pain the idea of them lacking confidence is a bit unbelievable. they were also bred during a time when white colonists were still being attacked by the indigenous peoples the heeler was bred to protect both livestock and master. DIngos themselves were and still are a very real threat to livestock which may explain dog aggression in heelers.

Looks overweight... no wonder he's so aggressive. Doesn't get taken out enough to release some energy. The dog is not a demon, the owners are just ignorant of a heelers needs, or just negligent
@danielok9815

sameera , exactly! Not once did i hear mention of basics like exercise which is huge for this breed and is the number one to do.The dog isn’t happy and bonded he’s working and training with lots of structure which is what does work, why not share that before the alpha role , see what happens if someone else tries it. There was nothing in the previous videos about the breeds requirements but instead goes for submission.If the owners don’t maintain the same level of consistency and ditch the alpha roll, what happens next won’t be a walk in the park.

kacey vicker So, the muzzle being on wasn't the source of his aggressive behaviour, and it being taken off is not the main reason why he's a good dog.
@kaptinvic163
@kaptinvic163 7 жыл бұрын
NuclearRevolution How do you know he wasnt kept in a muzzle 24/7 and that caused the agressive behavior. And after the muzzle was taken off he wad so used to every one being afraid of him and feeling the need to bite people for attention. YOU DONT KNOW THAT DOGS HOME LIFE. What if he was a rescue dog and abused in his past?

You do realize that this isn't the only video of this guy training him right? Because if you had watched the other videos, you would've seen that those claims that you just made are invalid. I'm assuming you're like 9 so I'm not going to spend much more time reasoning with you.
