At one point during the set, I opened it up to the audience for requests, and someone asked for a Bill Evans tune. I started playing “Time Remembered” and made it a few measures in before I realizing that I didn’t actually remember “Time Remembered” very well. 🫠 So I regrouped and instead played “Blue In Green.” The form gets a little topsy-turvy at one point in this version, but I suppose one benefit of solo piano is its flexibility. Feel free to pretend that everything here is exactly what I intended.
Things went from there into an improvisation which then led into a song of mine called “Your Favorite Raincoat.”
