When I was younger, birds chirping early AM would upset me, but as an adult it’s so calming, and it really sets the right vibe for the day.

Hehe, my problem growing up was a mockingbird that learned how to copy my alarm clock and would do it at HIDEOUS times at night and the wee hours of the morning. Now that I don’t have to deal with Alarm Clock Bird, I have a better opinion of birds. 😂

Fun fact, jays are part of the Corvid family, otherwise known as the crow family. Which includes crows, ravens, magpies, jays, rooks, Jackdaws, and some others I can't think of off the top of my head.

They’re loud but for some reason I tend to hear their songs as “MEW! MEW! MEOW!” which makes it really funny. 😂

Awww love them. I have them in my back yard. They come everyday to get a peanut. They just hang around my deck as if it was there place. I have my breakfast just admiring them.

Baby blue jays sound adorable too. We have two blue jays nesting in our backyard tree and they’re the cutest. What’s not so cute is getting screeched at and dive bombed by their parents every time we go outside, but hey that’s life

There's a lot of mockingbirds around and they probably mimic these all the time. So with all the mockingbirds plus the blue jays yeah say goodbye to getting proper sleep

I have blue jays, cardinals, sparrows and finches in my backyard! Never have seen them up close before I got a house. I’m so thankful to be able to watch them anytime ❤️

Blue jays always outside my window when I wake up. I’m a late sleeper, they’ll perch right outside on the edge of the roof or this tree which allows them to peak into my apartment. They know I’m their feeder and they’ll get pretty fussy until I give them their afternoon variety of birdseed, peanuts and fruit 💜

I only saw this in the book before but when I moved here in the US, I saw this in person like two weeks ago. My husband dragged me showing this Bluejay right at our backyard. I was speechless, it was really beautiful. Thanks for sharing this beautiful bird, it is very relaxing. Supporting here

Blue Jays absolutely sound like that. I was hearing this noise in my backyard and wondering what bird it was. I finally was able to catch a glimpse of it sitting on my fence. It was indeed a beautiful Blue Jay and it was making these noises!

I have a nest right outside my window. 5 chicks and it has been remarkable watching them grow,get fed, snooze and grow fuzz. Mom is so attentive! 🐦

This is one of the most nostalgic sounds from my childhood! I never knew what bird it was that was making this sound outside my house, I just decided to look up the sounds of different types of birds to track down the sound, and came across the blue jay! Never seen one before which is really interesting, since I'm always looking for the bird making the sound. It's not like the crows or pigeons that I hear every single day, this bird I hear maybe once a month.. that's a big maybe! But the sound I can remember as far back as my memory will let me go.. they're even part of the ambience in Harvest Moon! Anyways, glad I found the bird finally! I'm in love with this!

I love blue jays! I know people complain about them being loud but their calls are hilariously similar to a yelling cat, to me: “MEW! MEW! MEOW!” 😂 Also, I have respect for all corvids because of how smart they are. ❤

I just figured out they are the bird i associate with september, and so all those nostalgic first weeks of school. Never saw them super often, but always heard them, especially on the walk to school on those cool dewy mornings.

Was walking through the woods in my back yard and a Blue Jay was like 3 feet next to my head on a branch just yelling at me. I thought it was going to attack me, and wondered why. Next thing you know I look to my left and there's a nest in the other tree at eye level. It had freshly hatched baby blue jays that were sleeping.

My husband and I had a blue Jay that was hanging around us throughout the whole month of September..she would follow us everywhere and fly on our shoulder and head 😂 She was so cute but I wonder why she stopped coming around in early October.. we still see her flying around our area with other blue Jays so we're guessing she found a mate..I was wondering why she stayed away from the Jays and just hung out with us....

My white bellie Caique copied the squawking. We took her to bird camp and for 4 days she was the loudest bird. After 2 weeks she stopped her squawking. The camp owner said the other birds probably told her to shut up lol

thank you so much for this video. You were able to film in close-up what I was trying to see from afar. lol. I've been feeding the blue jays here peanuts in the shell. I swear they have me trained and know my break times. Most of the peanuts I notice they go hide under leaves or whatever and forget where they put them so a couple of them just eat them right away just like you showed in the video.. cracking them open with their beaks. thanks again

I live in DC in an apartment, and we have tons of them. They are very loud especially when my windows are open. It sounds like they are in the apartment. There is a tree near my kitchen window. But I would not have it any other way. They seem to be especially active this morning. I love it.

Females are the same bright blue. Youngsters have more grey. All of them look ratty in late summer when they molt their feathers.
