At last somebody doing a reaction on Baba with The Blue Man Group and the one from The Complex Rock Tour. The whole concert is amazing.....taking rock concerts to a whole new level. And as Doug already said " I FEEL LOVE with Venus Humm is a showstopper". And the whole concert is a must see, but make sure it is "The Complex Rock Tour" concert.

I've seen them twice and they are an EXPERIENCE! Their iteration of I FEEL LOVE with Venus Humm is a showstopper! Their original tribute to 9/11 is amazingly moving....

A former colleague’s brother is one of the 3 creators (Matt Goldman) of the Blue Man Group. I’ve seen them many times because I could always free tickets. They are a franchise, major cities have their own, NYC, Boston, Las Vegas, etc. Their show is very sensory driven but they do special shows for audiences with sensory issues such as Autism.

Wow! That’s amazing that they do special shows like that. I can’t imagine how they can tone it down enough for the audience and still be true to themselves but I’m sure they still give a great performance. I didn’t realize different cities have their own groups but it makes sense, since you really don’t know what they look like under the masks. Is there one group that specializes in performing for the audiences with sensory issues or do several of them do both those shows and the regular ones? I’m really curious now. Thanks for sharing.

Saw them in Vegas years ago, they came right up to me and my buddy in the audience and interacted with us, it was so cool.

They do have an album or two of original music and it is fantastic. BMG is and always have been an utter experience.

Various Blue man groups try to set up set up in home cities with a regular venue. We had a Blue Man group here in Toronto for a while.

Got to see this live! Any chance you have to see BMG, take it. It's such a visual, audio, and comedic treat (They're actually really funny as silent comedians between/during songs)...I guess It's one of the few reasons I'm lucky to live in FL...they are here quite often...(Or at least one group of them is, lol)

I will see The Blue Man Group at any time and have done so for many years. If you have never seen them, I would suggest checking them out on KZfaq or better yet, in person. They do not frequently appear with any other performer, and this one is a true classic. They are stunning to see and hear. Kudos to the submitter. Outstanding reaction, Harri.

Harry I’m so happy you choose this I was introduced to them about 10 years ago those because of this month those guys are playing our tune PVC pipes isn’t that fantastic and the lady that sings that song and the fiddle at the end everything about it is almost as good as the original maybe better

They are a visual "experience", they are not really a recording artist or group, they have no records but they play all over the world and if you get a chance to see them-do it. They are visually and artistically clever and super entertaining. They have several very good musicians who perform with them, but it's not about the music-it is a visual multi-media experience.

Blue man group has been at the Briar Street theater in Chicago for 25 years. Always sold out. They just keep updating the act with new routines.

I got to see BMG at the off-Broadway Astor Theater (i think where they started) about 3 or 4 times prior to 9/11. The most creative shows i have ever seen. The backup band was small and kept pretty much out of the lights and silent for most of the show. No vocalist. The shows centered on the 3 man group . Nothing more was needed - they were SO entertaining and innovative. Try catching a video which showcases them and not some wannabe rock star. They are so completely unique.

That Pete Townsend move that you talked about was started by Jimi Hendrix. Pete actually asked Jimi if he could use that move and Jimi said he didn't care, go for it.

Pete says, in an interview on David Letterman's show, that he got the windmill idea from Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones in the early 60's. Of course, Pete frequently changes his stories so who knows! Of course, Pete and Jimi had that controversy during the Monterey Pop Festival on who would go first, The Who or Jimi and The Experience and who would top who as far as wrecking guitars so after Pete smashed his guitar in his set, Jim one upped that by setting fire to this guitar!

Blue Man Group puts on a pretty wacky show of weirdness that can hide their talent. I'd say their strength is breaking down barriers. Big on things that engender audience participation by simplish things like dumping confetti or streaming rolls of toilet paper over the audience. I recall drumming on drums covered in paint just making a mess.

Interesting? Yes. Entertaining? Yes. Does this version come close to the original by The Who? No way! The female singer is a bit of an insult to Roger Daltry! And, the guitarists pale significantly to Pete Townsend.
