The first video I uploaded was Blue Moon so definitely due for an Update. The videos of me standing in my study playing are a bit pointless really so I haven't bothered this time. Its still done in one take in fact this is the first take. I didn't prepare anything for the solo just improvised through the chords. This time I recorded it with a standard stage mic. If anything I think it sounds better. Backing track is Band in a box as usual better. Backing track is Band in a box as usual.

im listening to the quality of this tenor playing and then listening to the classics...and I think this recording should be treated with the same respect (and as a tenor player I don't say that lightly). if it wasn't for it being in the present age, id gladly put this track on a record and put it in my collection of timeless tenor classics. its that good. I know a timeless classic when I hear one, just abit late to the party's all. damn.

I'm a bit late for a comment, but I only listened to your post just now. As everyone knows, I dislike jazz. However, this song and the way you play it might push me to give ''Blue Moon'' a try.🙂

Ha ha How can a Sax player dislike Jazz 😂. This is a very old recording. I’d like to think I can do it a bit better these days but there’s some thing about the old school tone I like.

As a Sax player myself I would of liked it more if you could put more feeling into your playing. Sorry but sounds like you are just playing the notes, this song requires more depth and more feeling. I know I’ll have a lot of complaints about my comments but, I know through experience that the more feeling you put into your music the more it is appreciated 😊.
