August 13, 2022 was a day that will go down in rail preservation history as for the first time since 1988, the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad would run both of their steam locomotives, 425 and Reading T-1 2102 on a steam excursion as a doubleheader for one of the iron horse rambles to mark the birthday of the railroad's owner, Andy Muller.
If that were not enough of a cherry on top, both locomotives would carry the famous "God's Whistle" Reading 6 Chime whistle, bringing back sounds perhaps not heard since the days of the original reading rambles at the end of steam in the 50s and 60s.
Included in this video as well are scenes of the railroads F units working the lehigh gorge train.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the sights, and of course the sounds of Blue Mountain Glory!
