I have been checking in on this game every 2-3 months. If this game ends up getting cancelled I will be extremely disappointed. I haven't been this excited about a game in a long time. It looks like all of my favorite things bundled into one game.

BP will not come out until throne and liberty does and throne and liberty still has no release date as well. So my guess is that throne and liberty is gonna come out at the earliest around mid August to early September 2024 and blue protocol early 2025 if it even does release.

Like how microsoft created unique store wide crud to get a cut of FFXIV sales on xbox (a scam in my book). It's not just not being unified enough globally. Each publisher is different in their mentality. Obviously, Amazon's record is...... horrible.

the amount of content to consume is not sustainable for a massive scale audience they would need triple the budget and twice the amount of staff they currently have to make the game into a game worth committing too as it stands its incredibly niche an appeals only to a very minuscule audience it wont survive the global audience to justify the costs of production so they need to re-invent ideas and also need to get rid of this gacha shit as well an just straight up sell stuff to their customers and offer up some type of membership if they are worried about the game generating income etc cause i can guarantee ya with cosmetics and mounts alone as well as additional character slots they'd make record profits they really should have learned from their competition at square enix then they could've had huge success but alas they decided to go the way of the past instead of paying attention to what consumers are consuming etc.

They postponed the global release to censore the game which in turn put off like 80% of potential players which, again, in turn made them postpone it again because they know the game will be dead on arrival, and it's all their fault.

The big problem imo is that throne of liberty was suppose to be released last year, but the testing was so bad they had to remake it and amazon just pushed dates back. On top of BP got bad feedback when it came out like the devs made a class nobody on the stream had no clue what it did. I still think BP has a chance, since there isn't any good mmos coming out like what happen to to perfect world? Thats been on my wish list for over a year.

They are holding off because of games like Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero coming out soon. I know BP technically isn't gacha (it does have gacha), but they kinda compete indirectly with them. Releasing the game now in the middle of these two would be a mistake.

early access is not always best option cause honestly if game fail in some major way like most common server issues long queue, disconnects and it take long to simply fix that it can kill a game instantly. An open test will be better to start it will help solve that issue and it also depend on how bad monetization is. the other issue that i personal have a problem with is censorship and change to fit " western audience". that tell me try trying make stupid changes. some involving DEI which amazon has been using a lot it mostly all their stuff lately. So dont look at jp for all new stuff cause there will be few or major changes to global.

Late Q3 means it will go Global on 2025 somewhere, wich will result into not getting enough players to actually launch. We can mainly blame this one on Bandai Namco. Who as you said went dormant. At the point, the game will lose relevance.

Yeah, the only factor I can think of that differs between their other published works is the need for solid MMO servers overseas, so I can only assume AGS was an affordable option for those, but I'd be happier if Namco was able to do it themselves.

I think people are forgetting that Bandai Namco have their stake in a bunch of other games. Elden ring being one of them. not saying that the 2 audiences cross-over but they could just not want to have to compete with themselves seeing that Elden ring DLC is coming end of June. Not to mention that if they don't have a lot of faith in this game, they might want to release it at a time where they can sweep their losses under the rug. The longer it takes for the game to come out the smaller the audience is for when they announce the game's shut down. Most won't care by that time, and they can move on to the next project that Bandai will hope is more profitable. remember their Overwatch Gundam clone? was popular for all of like 2 months then shut down after like a year. Bandai has reputation for ruining what should be a done deal. I'm sure the actual Blue Protocol devs are being shafted at the end of it all.

Releasing the game in early access is a terrible idea. Imagine the optics on that. "Japan released finished MMO and Amazon managed to take the same game and release it unfinished years later." Especially when they promised that the english release would be "caught up" with the JP version's updates. They are only falling further and further behind so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave up on releasing it alltogether, or if it's going to be like SEGA's empty promises to release PSO2 in the west.

In other words, Amazon has decided not to put much effort into this and focus on other things. Sounds about right. I'd honestly love it if Amazon games just folded and this went to another publisher or well, Bandai could just, you know, be like Square Enix and handle their own stuff. Amazon games is obviously very inept and getting in bed with them at this point is a mistake by any dev.

I fell for this youtube title =( no actual news in the global website , youtube, or twitter with last news was from 2023 (its red flag when news is gonna arrive somewhere other than where it supposed to originate from and not getting actual newsletter in e-mail) Hype is gone but the cope is still strong for 3rd quarter when its actually not gonna release in 3rd quarter My reasoning is given here, the fact is if they do indeed try to re-hype with ads and such like the video said it would either be very last minute which is not typical because another close beta would be 100% guaranteed to happen just before release to show off their development progress just like how wuthering waves did and had ads playing leading up to release afterwards with the close beta being a "take-off point" for their hype and ads being its engines Its either near end of year like December or next year with their new censors and everything implemented and if they don't like how close beta reception again they would delay it more or give up entirely and Bandai will again take the hit for it Culture Fact: Some people don't know is that Japan is known for having a "Take Responsibility" culture where they would "take the hit" even if it ain't entirely their fault to lessen the overall blow they would've taken otherwise and this was lessen the blow to keep Amazon happy My opinion and anything i said can be looked up yourself, such as the culture fact i wrote about can be searched or the news from their official website and social links being last from 2023)

You know, everyone says blue protocol is a dead game here’s what I think, though like the guy is talking about in the video for blue protocol is that Amazon is actually taking their time and willing to make the game better mean yes it’s been killing me and couple friends of mine play blue protocol, but we also need to remember with how video games are these days because there are some games these days that are so laggy and so buggy that they’re hard to play so in my opinion, I feel like we should be grateful that they are taking this time and listen to the feedback of what happened with private test for the game and yeah, the hype may have gone down but at the same time as gamers, we should try to be as much more patience. We can. I understand. It is super hard. I’ve been dying to hear about blue protocol as well but if you hype yourself, you’re not gonna get the game of chance when it officially releases globally now I’m not trying to be rude. I’m just trying to let everyone know like hey yes this amazing game is taking a long time, but I think about it this way the day it releases it could be running smooth as butter. I am still widely excited for it and so are my friends so I know it sucks waiting this long. I agree with you. I am still patient because I am still hyped for Blue Protocol no matter how long we waiting for. And I understand that everyone's hype is gone but it is still inside of them tho.

Bandai sold the rights for NA/EU (Global server to Amazon) since then the game is delayed by over a year in Global .

I built my first high end gaming rig specifically so I could run this game at max settings. Nowadays I often forget this is even a thing. I don't mind them taking extra time in the oven to bake us something good, but there better be a lot of content to eat up. Like when the game releases there better be a clear endgame to work towards. When PSO2 NGS launched it was the worst MMO experience ever. Unstable performance, barely any content. The level cap was only 20 so they barely gave any exp making the game extremely grindy at launch. I heard it's better now, but that first impression made me never wanna touch the game ever again. Obviously I could just play other games, but MMORPGs are different. I wanna sink my teeth into one for a long while. I never touched WoW and enjoyed FF14 to some extent, but I want something fresh. When Blue Protocol launches I REALLY hope there's a lot of good content.

i have only 1 question : is that so hard to listening to players ? for example : 60% of your player base are telling you that you have 0 end game content then you can go make end game content . ez 40-50% of players are telling you that your skins are trash then you can go make more beautiful skins . ezi problem solved 90% of your players are telling you that your game is ptw then you can just delete ptw stuff and then make your money somewhere else . ezi again problem solved why is that so hard for them ???????????

The biggest problem with this game is that... well, that they dont release it. They just dont release it. It's quite amazing, not good but still amazing; I keep hearing news like: "The game is not doing very well" No shit Sherlock, if the game is not out they are sure not be making any money out of it. Did they forgot to realease the game *worldwide* , like, 5 or 6 months ago or something ? 💀

Well, I don't find myself playing it to be honest. I've found a game which I'm enjoying a LOT and would probably not stop playing it just to play BP. I waited way too much for this game, it's just time to let it go.
