Aaaah you're so good at reviewing these Gust games. You can just hear the passion 💙 I really enjoyed my time with this game so far. After Platinuming the first one and jumping into this one almost right after... The contrast is insane. Like you said, it's a huge improvement on literally every front. I'm especially glad they toned down the fanservice and the fact that the girls have actual engaging personalities now. And the soundtrack 😍 As for the Ryza 2 battle system comparison, I think I still prefer Ryza 2. I absolutely adored chaining together these long ass combo's by switching characters mid-combo. While I enjoy BRSL's battle system, I think I like the more active system of Ryza 2. I also agree with you about the dates thing. Walking around with the girls, having these conversations with them... It just feels way more interactive and personal this time around. You really start to care about some of these girls. I really love seeing you do these types of videos. You really know how to approach these games in ways a lot of "professional" reviewers don't. I hereby demand you review every Gust game from now on 😏

Great review. I'm the one that mentioned on reddit that I was on chapter 10 but I decided to watch it anyway. This game has so many great things but one I whole heartedly agree is the soundtrack. I think this was easily my favorite soundtrack of 2021 (although I still have some games with great music on my backlog). The music made this game so relaxing, perfect to play at the end of the day. In all, very good review, I hope to see more reviews from you for other Gust games and niche JRPGs.

YESSSSSSSSS BR2 seriously caught me off guard I think this is one of Gust's best games in a while, even with improvements over the first aside

After opening the video with the OST just on full blast I don't even think we even need to talk about the music. The intro said enough haha. On the note of combat between this and Ryza 2 I think I also prefer this one. I'm working on my top 10 of 2021 right now and while this is taking the 10th slot it came down to this or Ryza 2 for that last spot, and I had to leave Ryza off, much to my own surprise. And while I had no issues with the fanservice in the first game, I think where they approached this one from the start with the idea of not using it as a crutch, they put more focus on writing emotionally intimate moments between the girls rather than physically intimate ones and the pay off feels much better. I do wish sometimes they'd commit more to the romances though and push them further, but I'm used to it at this point. I think I preferred the OST from BR1 more personally but BR2 still has one of the best sound tracks of the year. But I think more than anything it's just that Overdose in BR1 just left such a huge impression on me and I was maybe "too prepared" for something to do that again this time. Overall though, BR2 massively elevated the series from the first entry, and I would say it even elevated Gust and their potential in my eyes, now if only it could have it's breakout moment like Atelier did.

i am actually gaming it on switch bcause of the price reduce in the nintendo shop and bcause i was interested in the game a while .....years but it was almost too expensive or there was another game i wanted more instead but now i finally can call it my own and its cute good and the story is mysteryous and i like the more darker twist that came with yuki s hospital heartscape i was shocked a little bcause of the sugar sugar rainbow sunshine vibe the game had so more are some ( even if there were only words she said ) are darker bcause i begin to care about the girls i love them lol no serious i am excited where this is going to i never have seen the anime before or was playing the previous game but i am noisy what all that is about in the end but i dont wanna spoil myself if i knew the end it would destroy my motivation to enjoy it on the same level but so far its a solid good game not that good how final fantasy 13 Lightning returned was but its good

Yeah you also forgot to mention that the female protagonist of this game is better than the first one I actually prefer Ao over Hinako I think she's got a much better personality. She's kind of tomboyish and she's also very attractive to and she's not really very shy about flirting with the other girls

I can't even get around to finishing the 1st game, the girls to boring and should just talk to their family, roaming around puts me asleep, no English voice dubs a big minus, the music keep putting me asleep

dislike Loved the first game. Bored to tears by the second game's demo alone. The combat system of the first game was infinitely better.
