Blue Revolver is an indie shmup that came out recently. It takes influence from Cave and Raizing and it's quite good.
Parallel Mode is the highest difficulty in the game. Normally this game has rank but this mode locks the rank at it's highest level at all times.
Besides that, extends are set at every 15 million and this mode is also the only mode that has a TLB.
You have a normal shot, a special shot and bombs in this game. Using the special shot depletes the special gauge that's seen in the bottom-left corner. Picking up items recharges the gauge by a tiny bit. When using a bomb, all bullets on screen are turned into items which is good strategy for recharging your gauge.
Dying refills 50% of your special gauge and gives you two bombs on top of what you had. You don't actually lose resources when you die in this game. Scoring requires you to suicide at various spots for resources. Because of this, dying isn't too punishing unless you're at max bombs or something.
Scoring in this game is based around the flourish system. You build up an 8 hit chain with your normal shot and then cash in by using the special weapon, preferably on high-value enemies.
Bombs also cash in on the multiplier but without starting the count-down timer. This is very useful for extending chains.
Besides that there are also break bonuses which are kinda like secrets. You need to do specific things in order to get them.
There are a few mistakes in this run. Like stage 3 as a whole was rather bad. I think with this route at least 160 million is possible with perfect execution?
