In this final episode of our Blue Ridge Parkway adventures, we will take you on a tour to The Biltmore Estate! This property was built by the Vanderbilt family in the late 1800’s in the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, N.C as a retreat for family and friends. Sebastian takes a tour of the interior and dives in to give you all the details about this historic, enormous, Mansion.

I wish you could have seen it in fall. then the mountains are so beautiful. I was born and raised here, I can't live anywhere outside the mountains happily.

11:56 Pool is played on the table with pockets. Billiards is played on the table without. There's also a secret passage that leads from the men's gaming room to the gun room.

14:15 Mr. Vanderbilt owned hundreds of thousands of acres of land, all the way to and including what would be named Mount Pisgah. He established the first "forestry", and revived lots of land which had been scarred by logging.

13:40 It wasn't always a music room, the government stored some important items in that room during World War 1. Castle ? no. Fortress ? YES ! I've been to Biltmore several times so I remember a lot about it.

The house also had electric lighting, an elevator, call buttons for servers and a fire alarm system.
