Well considering Pitbull isn't an actual breed. It's a name people associate MANY breeds under an umbrella because who really cares, they all similar features. So saying it's a pitbull is perfectly normal and perfectly fine to say. And yes Staffy's fall under Pitbulls.

@@outoftime417 Usually if you get it from an AKC registered breeder or seller they will call it an American Staffordshire Terrier, but it's the same breed as far as I know. Pit Bulls are Staffys and vice versa.

I love how puppy's all thank they are so tuff. I miss the puppy days, play time makes all the accidents in the chewed up Furniture excetera well worth it.

Adopt one at your local shelter. Got mine and he is a pure bred and it's worth it instead of buying from someone who is only in it for money.

I have one of these with black fur. They grow up but they're still as playful and silly when they grow old. Mine's 8 years now and he's still full of joy.

@@colin-campbell Everything has the capacity to be dangerous. I do agree that pitbulls are a powerful (and thus dangerous) dog breed... But here's the problem: all because something has the potential to do harm, doesn't mean it will. If I have a loaded gun on my dinning room table, then yes, I can blow my head off, but this can only be achieved through negligence of how dangerous it is. TL;DR: Stupid people shouldn't be able to have Pitbulls because then their aggressive side has a possibility to be unleashed.

I felt like I had to write this cause there were some people that have no idea about pitties and staffies: First of all, Pit Bull is not a breed, it’s an umbrella term Staffies fall under that category, just like many other breeds Second, those dogs do not have a lock jaw, that is a myth spread by ignorant people And third, they do not „snap“ all of a sudden, pit bull dogs are most likely to succeed in temper tests unlike most chihuahuas, alaskan malamutes and beagles PS: No dog is naturally evil/aggressive, it’s a matter of discipline and training, you make him socialize with other dogs and people from a young age on? It will turn out to be a great „normal“ dog And hell, they were used as literal nanny dogs by farmers ages ago When the parents are working on the fields they left these kinds of dogs with their kids

I agree with you totally except if you own a fila no matter how nice and loving you are to them they only seem to love their family members back. If you have a guess over they might seem fine when your in the room with them but don’t ever leave them alone with guess,friends or strangers because it will attack. It is the only breed you can’t train it out of them

The exact definition of pitbull is when you inbreed of these species under the umbrella term, then train it to fight in pits. They just inbreed them so its easier to get them violent smh.

Aww I used to have a white staffy with grey specks all over him. Willie. Was a show dog raised by my grandpa. Won top dog in Canada 2 years in a row. Passed away when I was 7. Miss him like hell. Staffy smiles are the cutest.
