I made this cake last night for friends and used 1.5 cups of frozen boysenberries. It's one of the best cakes I've ever tasted! I added the zest of a lemon to the batter and added both vanilla extract and a few drops of almond extract, also I sprinkled some sliced almonds on top. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe. Hi from South Africa. I baked this cake today n my family loved it. The topping definitely gives it that extra special twist to the flavor. I didn’t have the same height tin so I divided the batter into 2 tins. Worked out perfectly fine n I baked for 35min. Thanks for a lovely recipe 👍🏼🎂
