your band is awesome, your instruments are as percussive as they are melodic. Her voice is angelic and the bass player is spot on!....

One of the most striking bluegrass music video's i saw until now. .: The loose admosphere, superb musical drive, the close harmony singing, clothes & caps, the beautiful, very skilled "shy" fem. singer, the wow ! banjo player with the "not-so-very-elegant" cap & shorts. And it looks very "not arranged".

Excellent, solid, accurate and tight instrumentals. Ashlee's vocal reminds me of Alison Kraus. Pretty darn good for a basement recording.

This whole song is perfection to listen to, just as good if not better than the original (though Tim Stafford, Adam Steffy and Ron Block are a tough number to beat)… definitely like Ashlee's vocals better than Alison Krauss's on this song. What really gets me every single time I watch it (and I have been watching it a lot) is when everyone harmonizes with her. It just sounds so perfect, same tight harmonies as you get with AKUS but yet better!! I love it, would buy a recording of this in a heartbeat and wear out my MP3 Player!

I suspect the McKinnon brothers of making the harmony part so beautiful. They do that a lot on other videos too. 😉

She's not (yet) Alison Krauss, but she comes close. (I love her shy turnaway-from-camera.) Fab playing and singing.

This group plays well. They are solid all around. Timing, accuracy of playing, singing and execution are all excellent but in today's world talent isn't always enough. They need to develop an image, name the group, dress flashy country style, get some professional photographs, put together a promo kit, find an agent and go pro.

Too bad the photographer didn't have the presence of mind to take the video in the horizontal format as is logical, save swinging the phone all around constantly. The term "Photographer" is a huge stretch in this example...

Its a jam... Not a photoshoot...
@wil46nl4 жыл бұрын
The "fotographer" did great in spotting all the solos, did yiu see the pefect guitarplayer, the nandoline, the banjoplayer¿ and that all fron an impossible standpiint in a crowded small garage, plus not the disturbing the musisians in this supurb performance. And best part is the terrific sound that was recorded. I wonder what audio equpment was used fir that. The very best part is that they sing abd play nin stop in one go and unplugged. Guys you all play great individual and as a whole. thank yoy 1000 x. I keep on watching this video over and over.

Just pointing out how yet again, someone filming forgets whether it should be landscape or portrait mode. And it's almost always landscape, because computer screens are landscape mode. When filming, that should be the very first thing to be aware of. It's probably the most basic decision to think of. Yet so many people don't and it certainly detracts from overall content, even if the soloist is filmed at the right time.

All y'all sound great except the singer...the key is too high for her.
