The irony of this whole build is the current popularity of the unity fast mounts for heads up shooting, when the concept was in combat use in Vietnam! I love it
@Excalibur012 жыл бұрын
@@HomerEscobar1 I mean, if Stoner and the military pushed for optics as standard issue, it would catapult the carrying handle thing even further. Colt even made a scope for the M16 at the time. Image if the military had issued the M16 WITH the 3x colt scope as standard like today with ACOGs

Very dope build. Midlength + 14.5 makes it looks pretty normal. I hate having a carbine length then a giant ass barrel extending way beyond the hand guards
@squashhead13742 жыл бұрын
I feel the same about the area length. There is always some operator who says the look doesn’t matter it is how it operates. True but you want your gun to look badass.

How’s he a fudd yeah it was a dumb old man joke but the guy literally said it’s a cool gun politely asked if he was gonna bother them shooting and went along his way. 4:00 that actually looks just like the old Bushmaster "M4" they sold about 10 years ago, which had that exact same permanent flash hider in order to add 1.5" to the barrel length so they could sell it as a non-SBR.

Pfffffffff you don't have your light mounted on the wrong side and then a pressure pad routed back to the correct side so you can activate it? What are you, poor? Awesome video as usual man.

My first rifle turned out almost exactly like this. Just parts I could find/buy/beg/steal. Remington m4 barrel for a contract they didn't win was the basis. 14.5" with a yhm birdcage, carbine gas system, impact weapon and push button light. Even had a detachable carry handle for irons for a while.

I run the A1 aperture, which is my favorite for accuracy and simplicity. I was inspired to do an XM177 tribute, bit with some of my own tweaks, like you.

Mine isn't a Brownell's, but it is similar. 16" HBAR, A2 front sight F marked, and a Brownell's Retro 4x scope that mounts to the carry handle as they did in Viet Nam. Colt's 3x scopes are still available, but why pay more for less? Brownell's went to the same Japanese company that made the Colt scopes.. So, basically,, the Brownell Retro scope is almost identical.
