Wow. This must've been a horrible experience. Giant ants attacking you, your friends disappearing without a trace, AND you didn't have dinner. Sora musta been freakin hungry.

This music honestly sounds like your worst nightmare come to life and there is no more safe haven's left now its all up to you. A true masterpiece of art

THis is my personal favroite heartless fighting theme in kingdom hearts.

That awkward moment where you charge at the Heartless all, "LEEEROOOYY JEEENKIINSSSS," only for the toy sword to go straight through them. "Ah-hah...RUN!"

This theme!! I remember how intense everything was when the storm came to the island and this song was playing, and heartless was spawning all around which was the first time you encountered them!! GOOD TIMESS!!!

It wasn't a decision. It was destiny. It WAS going to happen.

This part scared me, the first time I played it, when i was 5 or 6.

Tip: run for your life if you fight a heartless with your wooden sword

2nd grade man, best game i ever played. the story line and mystery of actually seeing kingdom hearts gets me still to this day.

When i played KH for the first time, this music got my heart racing. I was actually panicking saying to myself "what do i do!" xD dumb me i know

Even when I was like 10 the part when you were completely alone and the heartless attacked, leaving you with nothing but a wooden sword to protect yourself scared the shit out of me. Even after I got my keyblade I was still freaked out. I loved the dark atmosphere of the first game. They need to bring it back in the 3rd kh.

This is the scariest battle theme for me in KH history

It is simply a work of art, the music of this game is impressive, shows in the background how deceptive this saga can be, each note imposes on the tension environment, demonstrates the true darkness of the place, the despair, the pain and loneliness. The true essence of darkness, and everything that goes with it.

It remembers me how much I was afraid as a child while playing this part of the game, they truly did a great job to create a frightening atmosphere !

Currently on a nostalgia trip. I remember playing this game when I was 4 years old and when I first heard this song , I was instantly hook. I was hyped and my heart was pounding. I eventually made my way to the save spot just to listen to this song for about 5 minutes before continuing on with the game. Those were good times.

When you've used up all your MP and you see that enemy wind up for a big hit

For those like me who experienced this game on or near it's release date... You guys remember? Remember how it seemed to drag your mind into a state where you were convinced you may have been dreaming during your first time going through the dive to the heart and doing the intro sequence? Then you get into the initial quests on the island, you do the race, you collect supplies, you go swimming all over the beachfront on both sides, convinced there is some kind of secret to discover? Remember how you got so comfortable that it approached boring? I (in my very young mind) was actually convinced that we'd go out on that raft and run into the Disney characters we were promised on some small-medium islands that were located around the ocean. Tbh I anticipated a fairly mild adventure. Then things started to get weird, ansem in the cave was the first sign that things werent gonna go how I expected, then waking up to the storm, hearing this theme, meeting Darkside... It was crazy. Then to my complete shock, we hit traverse town. To this day that town is among my top 5 list of fictional places I'd like to live in if I one day woke up sucked into a fictional world. Man the design of that place.. such wonderful nostalgic memories.

Basically, you can put it like this. The door in the cave acts like a passageway that connects destiny island, to the other worlds in the Kingdom Hearts universe. It acts like the keyhole to the island also.

But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

I remember when i was 15 years, playing kh and when i listened to this, i immediately felt like being one with the protagonist. So much epicness...

For me this music is not at all scary and it was not at the time either. Even though I find it stimulating. We are in a danger zone, and we must prepare to defend ourselves. I love that battle theme

When I first played this game, I was just a child and was playing on a dark ass screen so with it being nighttime in the game, you literally could not see shit. You have no fucking idea how long it took me to get to Riku

Good to know I wasn't the only one scared shitless by this game. I remember relentlessly swinging around my wooden sword and wondering why nothing was happening and freaking out so much lol

The feeling of kingdom hearts as a kid was definitely amazing. The only game that kept me completely interested in ever since the intro .I still kept my ps2 case n continue to buy all the games🦦where is KH4 tho im hurt.

I played this first when I was seven. Didn't touch the game anymore, just stayed at my brothers house, how he can't find either of his kingdom hearts games and I miss them terribly.

I think I'll make a list of my top 5 battle theme of Kingdom Hearts.

The NIGHT OF FATE that changed the 3 of their lives forever and where it all began

I love this theme, when I first heard it...my mouth dropped saying i have to get this song. but to me it matches for the shadows heartless..and neoshadows too for kh2 lol.

That far i remember that in that final night on Sora's in Destiny Island when that magical storm of heartless and darkness appear and Riku and Kairi and all the others are mysteriously disappeared, you have to head to the secret cave where the mysteriously hooded stranger (i don't remember his true identity. If some body remember then please tell) appeared earlier in the game and talked Sora mysteriously things that Sora did not quite understand. So you have to head into that gave and fight shadow-type heartless along the way. And after you've reached the cave you'll gonna have a boss fight with ((i call that opponents Shadow Lord)) and then a magical shooting star takes and drops you from the Island to Traverse Town.

Me:(sees heartless)ok lets do this! (hits heartless) Me:oops i missed (32 "misses" later) Me:this is getting rlly old. Hey, is that riku?

god...good memories sitting at home playing this being mesmerized that it was actually a very good game..i had my doubts as a kid but this is a classic and i wanna play it now hah

For some reason this theme also plays in Traverse Town in ReCoded, not complaining though.

I agree I was super afraid in the beginning. but then after you start getting more powerful and then go to lands where youre not completely alone, you get comfortable. BUT then you go to hallow bastion and before you know it donald and goofy have abandoned you and all you have is a wooden sword and the moody Beast. oh and yeah, you have to navigate a waterway where new darkball heartless are EVERYWHERE. I was so scared of that part I remember. I was so relieved when I entered the castle!

I always woundered what was behind that door, when they got back in KH2 people were thinking why don't they open the door xD, but that might come in KH3, nice music, this is my favoirte song in the game.

One of the best KH music. I would pause the game and either play on my guitar or drums to this. Sometimes, My friend did one and I the other and we rocked out.
