Has our conscience shown? Has the sweet breeze blown? Has all the kindness gone? Hope still lingers on. I drink myself of newfound pity Sitting alone in New York City And I don't know why. Are we listening To hymns of offering? Have we eyes to see That love is gathering? All the words that I've been reading Have now started the act of bleeding Into one. So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself As the tears roll down. 'Cause it's the world I know. It's the world I know.

It's really sad that there's no mainstream rock anymore and the thug rap has taken over my generation and all of mainstream music. Really wish everyone else my age loved this music the way I do.

Used to cover this, back when we were playing on the same stages as "Godsmack", "Kittie" and "Superjoint Ritual", got the contract, and of course, it all fell apart at the apex. All I have left is my Taylor acoustic and a Jackson V that never sees sunlight. This one I still pick on, in those rare moments I'm alone, and want to relive the early 2000s for a few minutes. Then I set it back down, and time marches on.

You wanna relive it? Do it. There are enough people on earth to share such a vision. If you were anywhere near me and I wasn't crippled to shit I'd join you immediately in such an endeavour. Because while you might yearn for an earlier glory, you have it in grasp. You got an instrument, and arthritis hasn't eaten your hands, I'm assuming. Find it and make the world your stage.

I love the song I was listening to it a few days ago on the way home from work I had tears in my eyes and I realize what the song was all about the song really really hits home and it shows that you can go through so much in life that your heart desires a walking along that edge and knowing that you can make that leap anytime you want to but honestly it also tells me. That there is always someone looking down at us could be a family member or could just be an old friend looking down on us from heaven. And sometimes when we take that leap of faith and we step to the edge. It's our decision.

:| :) :| Bought the album more than two decades ago Saw the music vid a little after that (early napster etc era). . this song has been the reason I haven't jumped. a few times. ...I always see a bird landing when I'm about to. . . hope I see you in another five years.
