bluesguitarunle... is where you can get these jam tracks from. I have several different packs to choose from depending on your needs.
Yes, I know it is a long video and it may be more than you can use in one sitting. I encourage you to come back as often as you need to watch the sections you've missed.

I won't lie, it does take time, but it doesn't have to take as long as a lot of people make it out to take. I wasted many years along the way and hopefully I am able to impress upon you to learn from my mistakes and do it the right way from the beginning. That makes the whole process much more enjoyable and a lot faster.

Thank you for your instructional videos. They have really helped me a lot. I got your BGU lessons and am really liking it. I am purposely staying on each lesson until I can play that lesson reasonably well. In the past I would bounce from one thing to another without advancing much at anything.

Thanks Griff. A totally excellent tutorial.. This is definitely the BEST and possibly only currently available tutorial showing how to play 'licks' along with the backing track.

These long videos are great Griff. Keep em coming. That's one of the things that separates your from the other blues guitar teachers online. You take the time to explain, demo in an instructive way, and most importantly teach.

Well of course I don't want to leave anyone behind, but on the other hand almost any lesson has to have some assumptions as far as technique and previous knowledge. If this were a beginning lesson, I wouldn't be talking about playing solos over jam tracks. This may not be useful if you are a beginner. But if you are an intermediate player this is useful and you would be bored if I covered the basics again.

Absolutely a great lesson Griff and I'm lovin' it in fact it's because of your courses I can now spot that in the Bb rhythm at the 10 min mark you start at the V chord then play the IV I V and go back to the start with the I chord. I can't believe I know this stuff :) Don

Now you have.... i was taught the panatonic scale and from there i just played and played till me fingers bled but still cant do crap on cords. That's too bad. How long you have been playing? This is easy stuff,. I can get that tone with any decent guitar but prefer a PRS or Les Paul into a Mesa Boogie amp. I can switch to the clean channel on boogie or just lower the volume knob on the PRS when in dirty mode. I have been playing 37 years so if I can't play the blues, I am in deep trouble.

First , this will definitely help me at the very least some but I believe it’ll be a big jump off point for me to get back into playing ( trying to play…) along with backing tracks.. but just as importantly ,what’s this mystery SRV song “letter to my girlfriend “you speak of?? I thought I owned everything released from SRV’s catalogue (commercially released,at one point or another anyways ) now some old cds are gone I didnt reup in my iTunes catalogue of music ….but I don’t recall letter to my girlfriend even a little bit. Anyone know this song ?whn where it is? Imma heading over to i tunes right after this video to try and find it ,but just in case I can’t

maybe not putting up tabs but it seems (I could be wrong) that you at least name the chords at the beginning of some sections but not others. Of course if it is a 12 or 8 bar we could figure them out but the partial chords aren't always that easy to see, real quick cover of the basic options would be cool too.. thanks!

Avoid backing tracks that have too much going on, especially guitar parts. Some backing tracks are like complete pieces leaving little or no room for you to play anything.
@vicpnut1

I always just assumed my lack of skill (which I’am very lacking) that made it all but impossible for me to play over tracks and I gave up ….Which more or less meant giving up on progressing because of it ….I really would get ,or still was/am getting discouraged not being able to play “in the song “ instead of “over the song” making me lose the pocket ,stumble over phrases etc etc….while watching this I wasn’t aware at first how stripped down most of these backing tracks were till near the end when the lick was one I more or less learned as my first lick. No one ever mentions this idea of a less busy backing tracks , so imo very good point /idea that I really think more Need to know..great simple comment , really !

Great lesson. However, you can assume that your viewer know the chords. What if they don't? They might just navigate away from your lesson which is no good. In a 30 minutes video, you sure do have time to show the tabs of the half doesn't chords you're playing, for your your beginners... Can't ignore them, can you? Great stuff!
