The longest time that i have had this species to survive in my aquarium is around 1.5 years. For the moment I have two - probably a pair. But I´m not sure because they use to go together and the las days - I have only seen one. The oldest of these two have been with me for around 5 months but as usual with pipefish - they are shy in the beginning, and they prefer places that is in the dark - impossible to get enough light for a good video shot. These fish need frozen food and I feed with adult artemia and freshwater cyclops mostly. During the last 2 months when I have gotten some rather unknown fishes - I feed with a little artemia and freshwater cyclops once an hour between 10:00 and 18:00. I do it with help of a dosing pump and a magnetic stirrer. Around 06:00 my dosing pump load a bottle with tank water - around 09:00 I load in 4 cubes of cyclops and a little artemia. I switch the bottle every second day to a new one and wash the old. Every night I have programmed the pump to fill the bottle with an amount of tank water and pump it out again - self cleaning so to say. It does this twice. Bacteria coming out when I rinse - mumsfilibabba for my corals as we say in Sweden. For the moment I test to add a new in my tank when I´m already have one since 5 months. Its to early to say if it works out
