How to install and use Pure Bluetooth Kit for Honda Pilot 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years. Using this kit you can take/place hands free calls and wirelessly stream audio. You can also use car controls to switch calls and answer/hang up the phone. This kit supports any bluetooth mobile phones including but not limited to iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Blackberry, Windows Mobile.

I have a 2011 Pilot and ordered this Bluetooth kit for XM. I installed in less than 15 mins thanks to this video. That was 3 years ago and everything still works great!!

I have 2009 Honda Pilot, can’t I just directly connect the phone on Bluetooth? Without any external devices just my iPhone

@@faiz5563 I have the EX-L model with the radio and cd player, so I didn't have bluetooth capability. You can plug into the Aux but that's not bluetooth. Does this help answer your question?

What he doesn't say is that if your radio has XM or rear DVD player the Y-Cable is needed but not included. And after purchase and viewing the parts it unclear which hole to still the mic cable in. It auto answers call too that I do not like. The product works but lack of instructions on if you have the radio with 6 CD changer and DVD player. The radio does have different buttons.

I got a 30 dollar Blu tooth plug in for cigarette lighter. ..it works just fine and I didn't have to do any of that stuff you just went through.

Got my dash tore apart and my kit doesn't include the XM splitter cable.???

Update: Apparently there is a version to order for XM, although all I could find on the website were two versions, Apple or Android. Spent another $25 and bought the "Y" cable. Tore the dash apart again, installed and it didn't work. Tore the dash apart AGAIN and discovered I plugged the mic into the Aux jack. They are identical, be careful. The end result is great, the unit sounds and works fantastic.

if you are listening to radio or cd, and a phone call come in, will it automatically switch over to bluetooth connection so that you can answer?

What's the sound quality during a phone call if you are driving on main roads or freeway? I mean what's it like for those that are driving and those that are listen to who is driving? What's the quality of the mic?
