I wish they could have done a story that is set after the game rather than a “What If…?” Scenario, but other than that, I am happy about this update. Amy finally has a good moveset after years of being lacklustre, Knuckles plays like he does in the Adventure games, slightly revamped for the new generation, and Tails (my favourite character in the series) plays the best he ever has!

Far as I recall, the “What if?” scenario is considered canon while the main timeline isnt. Which I hope thats the case.

@@merimkastrat5846both are canon cus in the end the situation is the same. Friends saved, sage is alive in the end, supreme is defeated and destroyed and the end is defeated. Edit: imma explain it cus some people don't inderstand. What I mean is, despite the differences in events, in the end the resolution is the same, friends saved, sage is alive by the end of the game (in the original ending eggman brings her back so yes it's the same) Supreme titan is defeated and destroyed in both endings, and The End is defeated in both endings, and it doesnt matter if sonic got a new form in the new ending cus in the end, he loses access to it. It's a one off form, so basically, it you choose the original ending or the new ending, the end situation is the same. It doesn't affect the future nor the past events. Basically, Sega gave us the choice to chose the ending we preffer, without either affecting the canon. And while making it so both can be canon.

@@leo_501bro wut. In the main timeline sage dies, I mean Eggman revives her, but there are STILL some differences. Tails, knuckles and Amy don’t do anything in the main timeline, that’s a pretty big difference.

Yeah because he has all the max specs at level 99 (max level for rings, speed, strength and defense) so he is unstoppable

That coldheartedly confident Super Sonic 2 going full Jojo on Supreme The End and finishing it off with that full-on cyber mode zigzag crash is just...*Chef Kiss*👌 peak icing on the cake of this update. Also I love how Sage lives and Eggman taking her home as his adopted daughter like a good father should at this better ending.

@@socheata643 The playable Tails, Amy and Knuckles are also peak once you max level all of their skills, even though their flight controls are a bit jankey and still needs tweaks all except for Amy, but overall, still a pretty peak update nonetheless and a peak free dlc in general.

Infinite over used his powers limits and he started to disapear after Sonic and Avatar beat him up, but before he disapeared he got revaled by someone who he probably could hear and maybe he had visions, now I see the Sonic in Frontiers indure the same things as infinite in forces, infinite will become good in the next game I feel it

The End reminds me of the Dark Oak ending of Sonic X it also looked like a planet that's starting to Implode, i don't think it is meant to be like that but still something that made me think of that.

They weren't kidding when they said some of those trials would be grueling, but when I beat Master King and I'm With You (Vocal version) kicked in every bit of frustration melted away. That's a great ending.

Yeah no kidding feeling the same way. This happened again when I got hit by the almost instakill attack(the one at 3:00:16), died in a cutscene, then got to that moment once more, got hit again, but now Sonic straight up refused to die and returned to kick Supreme's ass.

I like that Amy is a magical girl now. It’s giving mad ‘Card-captor Sakura’ vibes and I’m here for it. It would be a good match to Sonic going ‘Super Saiyan’ like Goku does. Also, it would be cool if Amy’s ‘Super’ form was a magical girl transformation, IMO, that would be a golden opportunity. It would be great if the two leading hedgehogs would represent Shounen and Shoujo, respectively. I think it would also be a great way to set Amy apart from the others without being too OOC. You would have Speed, Strength, Intellect, and Magic/Spiritual abilities. Each bringing their own merit to the table. My only complaint though is that we didn’t get to see her growth or progression from SA1 to Frontiers in a way that was satisfying, but hey, it is what it is. I’m just glad for a nice change.

Roger Craig Smith still has what it takes to be the greatest & best voice of Sonic. Same for Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails. While I prefer Travis Willingham as Knuckles, Dave B. Mitchell as Knuckles has been starting to grow on me (which means I’ve been warming up to it). Dave B. Mitchell is a great Knuckles. Cindy Robinson’s still got it as the greatest & best voice of Amy. Finally, absolutely NO ONE can top Mike Pollock as Eggman. He’s perfect!

For those who can’t defeat the new final boss in sonic frontiers final horizon here’s a tip for ya: BREAK THE DAMN CORD!!! (Hit the end one time and then sidestep then break the cord)

I don't really understand all the complaints about the DLC, I can agree with some complaints, like the design of some sections that seem to be done a bit randomly and honestly the new playable characters didn't convince me at all, but I loved the dlc , I really loved that increase in difficulty, the game doesn't treat me like a baby, it tests me and it's a feeling that I like, I was even wondering if this really is a Sonic game because damn...the tension in the combats, in every move, being more strategic, and then finally beating the last titans challenge was very satisfying, and the new cyberspace phases are probably the most fun I have played so far in a sonic game, the game is not perfect obviously, but if this is the direction the franchise is going to take in the future I'm on board

I honestly hated the starfall event in the og story mainly because it revived the guardians, but in this story i love it cuz its the best way to level up the characters quickly. You can literally get over 2000 koco with one starfall.

@@aerodynamo4874 Ye, but here's a thing. Sonic is the best character for beating the guardians cuz they have way too much health and Sonic is the only one with actual combos. I mean I know it is probably possible to beat them with the other characters, but still.

I do think a true fight against the end itself with cyber super sonic in space with a new original vocal song would've made this update an 11/10 (and it also should've had more quality of life stuff like turning off guardian intros)

Now update 3 is just perfectly made 1000 times harder than the Oringal story because when you play as Sonic you need to climb up these towers as Rhea Island it's even more painful than I thought when you mess out once you start over to the beginning but update is fine I have no negatives feelings about this update Edit: Now the last tower is even more painful, you need to beat all bosses without collecting a single ring so if you run out of rings then you need to start the challenge all the way to the beginning

I really want to know who at Sonic Team hates Tails. All the other characters have their own unique basic melee attacks, and he just...throws wrenches. Someone was really like "Hey, let's have him throw wrenches, because he builds stuff, gedditt?" instead of "Hey, what kind of cool weapons would a genius inventor like Tails build for himself?" The movie got it right, I don't know why they didn't take more ideas from it. He hasn't been playable in 17 years, and he hasn't been fun to play in 25 years, besides 2D games. Rant over.

I think that's because Tails is supposed to be more of a traversal based character than a combat based one, his flight and Cyclone are a ton of fun to use.

@@nathanevans1382 I get what they were going for, I just wish they would've done more. I feel like Tails has just been disappointing in general more often than not for no good reason. I do think it's cool that they incorporated the Cyclone into his abilities, it's really the wrench throwing thing that really gets me. It's just lame and doesn't even really make any sense. It just feels lazy. There are so many interesting things that could be done with his combat in a game like this without breaking his character.

@phootaphan9166 Yeah, the wrench throwing is a bit basic, but if it makes you feel better, Tails can fire a giant ass super laser from the Cyclone like in SA2's multiplayer mode, I didn't really care about the wrench throwing after I found that.

I...I'm having super hard trouble at this...I'm playing the Switch version and Knuckles is controlling and gliding like ass and he falls off climbing surfaces too easily and the controls don't go where I tell him to...do I need to change my settings or am I just...really bad at this?

Replaces the original ending. They run out of time and put the other one, this one is the intended. Edit: as far as I know both endings will be available. You can choose which one you want by passing that golden gate or not

When you get to Ouranos you have two options, find Sage on Ouranos (OG ending) or go through the ring portal behind you when you spawn in (true ending)

The easy way to lock on this beam is to attack once on the head and press one of the dodge button (depends on the plataform you are playing) then Sonic will automatically lock on the beam. Then keep attacking the beam until it detaches.

I honestly never thought to manually cyloop with Super Sonic cuz of how long it takes to make the circle and it's kinda hard to focus on that and the bosses attacks, I always used to quick cyloop once the meter is full. But that does sound like a good strat.
