I knew it ! I always wanted to pet those sea turtles, Every place I go they tell me that I can't touch anything especially the coral and any marine life. I find it so not fulfilling. I am going to have to go to Palau next time. rules in the Philippines are so strict. I wanted to touch the Giant clams and sea turtles, the guide said punishment may include jail time. pfff I can understand the coral but a sea turtles? like petting a dog. Harmless!

@@joejeans7913 if you watch the video, Jonathan said you shouldn't touch them. And for starters you shouldn't touch any coral, because you will kill it. If you're not getting fillfullment of just watching and not touching you shouldn't be in the water. You touching the marine can cause stress and kill them. The first unwritten rule of diving is look not touch.

@@joejeans7913 tutching the sea turtle in a way that isnt right is concidered Harassing it, if they dont have the rule many people will start grabbing and harassing turtles. The reason why you cant tutch fish is because of a slime they have wich protects them from bacteria

I’m a senior and studying biology. Looking back at these videos. Jonathan is definitely one of the reasons I pursued this work field. The videos made 13 year old me yearn to explore the ocean.

Our entire family really wants to go diving Palau. I've gone diving in plenty of strong currents including 6 foot swells and I love night dives. Hopefully I'll get to go to Palau someday! :)
