The man that will single highhandedly save poker in America. Normal people, playing normal poker. 21 tables at most poker rooms would be a welcomed sight. I normally play $1/$3 or $/$5 but I'd up my bankroll and buy-in just to play session with you. Come back to Hollywood Park on a weekend and I hope I'm in town to play at one of your meet up games. Wish you would have had these when Pala had a decent poker room, would have been a great draw. Possibilities at Pechanga as they have a huge room. 5s with a set on the flop, I think I would have shoved on the turn but, the favorable river showed its colors for you. Congrats!

Andrew, FYI the hand where player blind raise, your only option really is to call. If you raised, the rule at live is the player who blind raises can take that bet back. Since action was changed by a raise. Most players don't the rule for blind bets out of turn.

Love the occasional throwback "come back into the room/parking garage spot to get the camera I just weirdly walked away from" shot. Keeps the realism alive in the blog no matter how much it's blown up since I saw the brutally honest awkwardness of #1.

Is it possible you’re missing some value there with the AQ 4 flush hand taking the ultra conservative line? Maybe check flop and lead turn and river? If he has you beat on the turn at least your lead gets some info that helps you on the river.

Trevor was on PokerGO yesterday with Matasow, Barry Woods and Brandon Cantu. He was crushing for the few minutes I watch. It help Barry woods was crazy aggressive when he had any piece or draw.

the decisions on/after the flop on that set vs flush draw hand at 19:19 would've been tough. I know you have a set and it's tough to lay that down, ever, but dude was representing it and I'm not sure I'd really know how to play that through.

The Ac2c hand: if you thought some cards could kill action then the counter to that could be if you did just call the turn bet, he would prolly check that river scared of a 4 and you could have blown him off a chop knowing its a 2 and an overpair youre up against. Just a thought. Excellent blog. Maryland Live is one of the best east coast rooms for sure.

Had a great time playing with you andrew (last table). It was the first time I had played in a year (since my second son was born) and it was a much needed session. Won my biggest pot in my 16 years of playing and even after some unlucky hands I still had a profitable night. Make sure you try portillos Italian beef when you guys are in Chicago! (Also made it into the intro!!)

Great video! I think it's worth mentioning on the JJ hand that you want to fold more in holding Jd as it blocks AJd, JTd, and KJd (dubious).

You need to be raising the 55 on the turn to protect and exploit imho. Heart on the river and you can’t call a shove. You still get paid by missed KhX and don’t risk him chickening out on boat river too.

I *hate* flopped sets on flush boards. I was last to act in a huge brewing pot and chickened out to protect my wins and got out before I had to call a fortune. I was lucky to get out of the way but it was an all-day call. Nice win!

The turnouts are great and it just seems like you guys create a fun environment to play poker.. win or lose. Though of course winning is preferred. Good luck with your fall sessions. Guess we have a bit of summer left but end of august always seems like at least the approach of fall.

Surprised that quad Js hand counted as a high hand. Most places I play at require you to have 2 of the cards that make up the high hand already in your hand.

The pocket nine hand seemed like a somewhat tight fold. I know you said you were worried about the bb completing the straight with an 8, but you have blockers for him having 89, three combos of 87suited left in the deck, maybe he calls your raise with 8 10 suited but only 3 combos of that as well... if he had a big pair it would have been the perfect time to 3 bet your preflop raise to isolate the button... so it’s less likely he has a big pair. Honestly looked like he either hit a pair on the flop from like a ace5, ace6, ace 7, hand, or realized that his best chance at winning the hand would be to lead and rep a straight draw, knowing you’d prob c bet anyways... I don’t know.. with you blocking and then the ten coming... either a call or a well timed reraise looks good.

How do you not raise the q high flush? You have the second nuts, he's probably going to call a reasonable raise, and I don't think he has too many kc in his range that he's not betting flop/turn

If you do not raise 99 on the river, what hands are you bluffing with? A8o also seems like an easy limp and depending on stack sizes limp-jam or limp-call. Can not see why first calling 70 instead of 5 makes any since. By calling 5 you can act after the blinds.

A 4bet to $245 out of position is “sizing it up”? 3x? IMO sizing it up would be at least 4x out of position. Should you be 4betting smaller than 3bets because 4betting is so strong in general that sizing big isn’t that important? I’d love a response Andrew, thanks!

Andrew, hey dude, big fan. Love your content and Brad O too!! Question for you, you and Brad spend a lot of time with your videos, getting content and editing, I think I remember hearing one you say probably 30-40 hours /week. Wondering why you wouldn’t just use a platform like Facebook/Instagram Stories? Maybe you would still need to edit your hand analysis but overall it seems it would save a lot of hours that could be spent at the tables or other places... not a criticism at all, I’m honestly just curious. Do you make that much money from KZfaq to make the time worth it? Or do you really enjoy the video content/editing that much? Anyway, been wondering. Thought I would finally ask. Keep it up and good luck at the tables!!
