This plaintive, directly emotional ethos would have been out of place in the "Britpop" phase of Blur's career. Now, however, with the band and their core fans reaching mid-life, Damon's mellowed voice and the gentle backing are simply perfect. Gorgeous. ❤

Such a beautiful recording. One of my favourite tracks from the deluxe edition of the album. Well worth the extra cost. The whole album is something I didn't know that I needed in my life until I listened to it in full.

I get why Damon is doing it but I missed deluxe editions coming out at the same time as the main album, but since peeps treat the extra tracks as real canon to the main album these days, I guess this is what he's gotta do.

mmm was quite relieved my partner had preordered the version with both bonus tracks, rather than the base ten, once i found out these existed. dunno if these are on the vinyl/if there's room for them as we have the cd for the car. must've been preorderable at the same time though, as she got in there early doors.

The Duluxe vinyl version had The Rabbi and The Swan as a bonus 7". So glad I ordered that version.

@@neffersonjickel3901 That's way better than the Cracker Island deluxe vinyl set, there was definitely room to put the three bonus tracks on the included 7 inch instead of a Cracker Island single but alas, it didn't happen. I'm guessing that was out of Damon's control.

Jajajaja! Buena observación. Yo creo que Damon con todo ese material post ruptura de su larguísima relación no quiso ser tan obvio para dejarlo como album solista. Si bien en si no es malo, falta esa chispa blurista noventera con mas guitarras de Coxon. Pero bueno, ya sabemos quien manda en Blur 😂😂

Porque claro, bkn purgar tu pena creativamente y Damon, sin duda, es de las mentes mas brillantes y únicas que hoy está vigente y se atrevería a hacerlo... entre tanta cosa independiente, proyectos paralelos y mil colaboraciones de lujo ... Peeero Blur tiene su sello y siento que aquí se diluye mucho o no se percibe del todo, entre su muy legítima - y quizá demasiado expuesta- pena.... Con todo el respeto, admiración y amor que le tenemos a Damon, definitivamente, era para album solista. No era necesario arrastrar a todo Blur para una idea creativa que al final es solo suya. Mi favoritos son Parklife! y el homónimo, emblemas de los carretes de mis años de Liceo jajaja 😎🤘🔥
