How does it compare the a regular power wheel on a drill battery 20v?

It will last longer then the power wheels. 20v will kill the power wheels pretty quickly. 18v is safest. This is much "cooler" then the power wheels but won't be as fast

How long do you find the kids can drive it on a full charge?

Hi Ami about 25-30 min. Depending on the drive mode you are on and weight. The higher the drive mode the quicker the battery goes out. We usually drive it on the 2nd speed mode and that is good for 25-30 min.

braking is awful indeed. No slow braking. The kid can easily bump into the plastic and get injured.

Very true. The E Brake is very strong. I bought a WeightBar sponge from K Mart and wrapped it around amd tightened it with Large zip ties. Problem solved👍🏻
