I've used the 1 v2 with the ft-1. Provided you use AF-S nikkor lenses, they'll autofocus. I can say that it works with the af-s 70-200mm 2.8, the af-s 300mm 2.8, the 105mm 1.4 and the af-s micro nikkor 105mm 2.8. Although using a DSLR still has my preference, I can say I've ised the 1 v2 ft-1 combo regularly. Thanks for your review!

Since time has passed since you did this review have your opinion changed on using the FT-1 adapter to use with the F mount lenses for wildlife photography or to get full benefit out of the Series 1 V camera it would be better to use the Series 1 CX lenses? Thanks Duane

can you mount a Samyang 7.5mm fisheye lens for micro four thirds to a Nikon J1/V1? Is there an adapter and if there is, is it going to crop the image or zoom out, is it going to work at all ?

true, sorry, should have said the 24-70 already focuses very close, then once you use that 2.7 crop it really makes photos look magnified, although like you said, it doesn't change how the lens works at all, its just all in how much the sensor of the V1 crops.

The sensor size doesn´t affect the reproduction ratio. You can´t turn anything into a macro lens without a teleconverter.

it should, with a tc20e ii or iii I guess. as long as the lens is f2.8 or faster.

I am experimenting with the nikon 1 s2 and the 70- 200 vrii the nikon 1s2 has the expeed 4a chip so can shoot 20 frames per second with autofocus.....thats why i would use it for the high frame rate which is not possible with any pro nikon

the 60fps raw in video burst mode is amazing and revlutionary,,no other camera at this ((small)) sensor can do,,it is great for 1 sec video clips used in major motion pictures like reqeum for a dream,ala darren aronofsky,,,very fast clips at 60 raw frames at 1080p video.stop saying it is a small sensor,,

why does everyone say the sensor is small??this is a 1 inch sensor made my aptina,a revolutionary sensor,this sensor is bigger than 1/3 inch and 2/3 inch sensors that are in the eng and upscale camcorders that are thousands of dollars,,this is a big sensor compared to the eng camcorder sensors.this is not a small sensor.compared to the full frame sensor it is smaller,but it is just a bit smaller than 4/3 sensors and much more uselfull and does things a bigger sensor cannot do,,like raw 60fps
