The bigger males can puncture the skin easily with the fangs they have. Daniela was completely gutted…..so was Candy, more or less and many of those little ones the males usually gut them with those fangs they have…..or they chew up a limb or rip their faces up. Those bigger males can do serious damage to a human so those small monkeys don’t stand a chance. They should learn quickly to stay out of their way and submit to their kidnapping or they’ll get hurt. The ones that don’t learn are the ones that usually get killed.

Candy, from infancyhad problems since she got to people practically ааrom birth, did not have tactile contacts with the monkey that gave birth to her, probably, and people only fed her, washed and filmed, and instincts to cling to someone it began to be satisfied only in this place in a flock of similar ones.

She's a baby. Babys cling to their mothers all day. Thats what they do, its vital for their development. Just like human a baby. They need lots of care and attention, 24/7. Remove that, and their health will be negatively impacted. Physical health and mental health. Monkeys are extremely intelligent, extremely sensitive, complex animals. They are not like dogs- you can take a puppy away from its mother once the puppy is a couple of months old and the puppy won't care. It will never think of the mother again. But monkeys form deep lifelong bonds with their mothers, females will live with their mother until one of them dies. This monkey has been literally traumatized by the VOs removing it from its mother. She's desperate for comfort, she just wants to cling to a monkey, any monkey will do, even one that is biting and attacking her. Just watch the last minute or two of footage, after she had been violently rejected by every monkey that she sought comfort from. She stopped moving completely, lying in the grass, cooing for her mother. Anyone who finds that kind of thing funny or entertaining is genuinely sick in the head.

Does anybody know if "Candy" was her actual name when she was a house pet? Or did the VOs give her that name when she was dumped? I'm only asking because I was wondering which particular KZfaq Channel's monkey she was, I'd like to see the footage of when she was a "pet." And if nobody knows definitively, does anybody have any suspicions on which KZfaq monkey she was before she was dumped?

I watch a savanna group and there is a monkey Dawn there who reminded me of candy. She was protected and eased into the group with the help of one of the team. I don't know if there's people on hand to help here, Seems like Amber group to me. That should never have been let to happen. There's people there filming. A place should have been set up for her to sleep and some care to help her adapt. Not thrown in and just left. Doesn't know how to be there. Just very scared might never of seen another monkey even. To not step in watching her getting bullied and attacked. The VOs in savanna now are caring and help them. I've been watching a few months.

She needs to be injured repeatedly until she gets the message. She is too big for this. If it was with her mother she wouldn’t be allowed to be clinging on. She should have already learned.

Stop animal abuse in general. Taking a wild animal from the wild (even if it is a manageable cute baby chimp or in this case indochinese rhesus macaque). 1) Taking from the wild de-socializes the primate from all forest habitat creatures. 2) unless you are a trained primatologist who can provide a forest like enclosure, you cannot properly give this animal a good life. The forest provides the proper nutrition that you cannot afford. Pre-pandemic the cost of caring for a chimpanzee was $22k. Annually. My guess is from the people who participate in the ILLEGAL wild/pet trade, as the surrogate mother, you do not have this disposable income to raise 1 primate. I see horrible food choices on these videos. Sweets, cakes, breads, cows milk. All of which are very bad nutrition or (lack there of). In the wild, they learn by watching others or if with a mother will direct them the right non poisonous foods. This is where their intelligence comes in and they can thrive. They are also taught from others which plants are medicinal when they are ill. Something humans cannot know or provide at any cost level! So that is 2 examples of abuse. As a rescuer of many abused dogs and cats, we have this saying “ no give backs” So it is not right to take a baby from the wild or support that practice . No give backs means a lifetime commitment. I have a Chihuahua, mixed with miniature pinsker (min-pin). She was rehomed seven times before I adopted her. The adopters could not handle the level of needs or neediness, as some people say. I have had her since 2016. Going on 8 years now. I had to put my foot down and stop the inhumane actions towards these very loving creatures. So therefore, if you take in a baby monkey, you need to understand you are changing everything it should be taught and you CANNOT dump the monkey back into the wild when you are tired of the 24/7 care needed, or the expense of the veterinarian bills. Shame on you, if you are a part of this. You are setting a very bad example for your children you should be teaching your children, however, cute and manageable, a newborn monkey, or any primate, they are not to ever be house pets. I from watching some of the videos that a young child is usually involved in the assistance of raising a baby monkey, You have no business having any creatures in your house. If you’re abusing monkeys, thinking you are giving them a good home, you are wrong and you should not have a dog or a cat because you don’t deserve their love.

This isn't terror, this is a little monkey use to getting what she wants. Running up the tree is a temper tantrum. She's screaming up a tree, advertising where the troop is to potential predators. Obviously there isn't any but they don't know that so they rush to shut her up. Then they got fed up with her and she was killed. If only she shut up.

They actually cannot be domesticated and by the time they hit 6 months to a year old their natural wild instincts kick in and they get abandoned because they become too aggressive and destructive to handle any longer. The best thing they could do if they're going to dump them is to leave and not keep feeding them or anything. If they aren't fed and are left alone they'd learn a lot faster how to survive. They shouldn't be pets and they also shouldn't be fed or "rescued" from the wild for any reason. Even if they are truly abandoned by their mother, she did it because it was defective or sick and she knew it wouldn't survive. These are also considered pests and vermin because of how destructive they are in the wild as well.

Don't forget: that's a different culture: monkies are common to them; and those people see them differently

You can't teach a baby monkey how to be a normal monkey in captivity, more so if it was raised alone in a cage with just a towel or some other soft object for comfort. They have to be raised with other monkeys in a semi wild situation to teach them how to communicate and how to find there own food. Even then they would have a low chance to survive in the wild since they wouldn't learn about the hierarchy system in a troop unless they grew up in one. Her life in captivity doomed her. She was use to being hand fed and only having herself fed, which is why she expected the other monkeys to give her the food they had or would just resort to stealing food from other monkeys which is a huge no in a monkey troop. Her still clinging at her age is unnatural since a monkey at her age would be independent. When she had her towel taken she started to cling to the other monkeys not to socialize but to just give herself comfort which the other monkeys found to be an annoyance more so since she would cling to their legs or some other way that made it hard for them to move. When they did push her away she would cry and screech non stop because she didn't have the confront she wanted which isn't tolerated by the troop. She learned to do this in captivity as a way to get her towel back when it was taken from her. Usually in the wild the mother monkey will start pushing her baby away from clinging around 1 year old which makes them learn to be independent. If they cry and screech the mother monkey will usually discipline them for doing that so they learn not to do it.
