What did you say you were fitting? Can't quite make that out. Are you fitting projector headlights? I'm planning to do that too because the aftermarket ones with a H7 fitting just came out. Thanks for the instructive video. I'll need it!

Hi mate, I have been trying to remove my headlights from my 2012 F20 but the two headlight bolts (alignment nuts) at the bottom of the headlights seem impossible to remove as the nut keeps spinning when trying to undo the bolt since the clip over the top doesn't seem to be doing its job by holding the nut in its place. Is there a way round this do you know? Any help would be appreciated.

@@stevenlangley8618 so, I've just done this change.. those screws were a pain in the ass. On passenger side, I pulled the retaining clip back and held it with a spanner and unscrewed with other hand. Nice and smooth, drivers side not so smooth. I made the bad decision of just snapping the old lights off those screws 😂 then hacksawing them off (I ended up stripping them) Only issue now is I can't find what screws I need to replace them. If you're in the process of this, if you could send me the measurements of the screw I will love you forever.

Bend away the Metal clamp until you can fit a 10mm wrench on the nut. Try to bend it with a screwdriver, than use a hammer to drive the wrench on the nut. Fun fact: the screw i sealed with locktite.

The same thing just happen to mine, my led light bulb fell inside the light unit. How much would that sort of thing cost to get it out ?

OMG what a p**** in th a** for a just a single headlight remove. Replacing the buld is also som much complicated and almost impossible without doing this. Shame on you BMW.

To be honest it's not complicated as it looks it's just normal maintenance as stated above most cars I like this nowadays Plus anybody can do would a set of minimal tools that are cheap mainly just talk to you and 10 mil sockets the only hard thing you need is a flexi extension for the one T30 torx on the headlight lower mounting bracket the
