i remember seeing this exact car on forums and articles regarding the e82 chassis. I had a black on black '10 128i Msport as well, Adaptive HIDs but not a slicktop. Man I miss that car. Currently have a couple Z3 projects going on tho lol. Beautiful car, thank you for bringing back some fond memories

I have a 2003 Miata and it’s time to upgrade my fun/track day car and it is because of you that I found the 128i... this car was never in my radar! But now it is... now to do my research and see what I can find out there to join the 1 Series crowd. Thanks for posting this video I was very curious what was done to your 128. Keep up the great content!

The 128i is the most underrated BMW of its decade. Super reliable and it bats way outside its price range on track and autocross. It needs a lot of love upfront to tame the factory understeer. Hence BESIM X CARS running 4* of camber. If you are looking for one of your own I recommend getting the n52 over the n51, it doesn't have the SULEV emissions BS and makes more power.

@@Dragon228833 Guess what I did today... Yeap, bought a 2011 BMW 128i 6-speed manual transmission... its 1000 miles away from me but luckily we have an auto train. So flying up, then driving down to Washington DC, jumping on the auto train all the way down to Orlando Florida then driving 200 more miles to Miami.... Very excited! and now, time to sell the Miata. Wasn't easy to find a 6 speed... but luckily I found 1addicts forum... most cars on there are the 135i but you do find a few 128i 6 speed (no slick tops though)

All I've done to mine is remove all mufflers resonators and cats with headers and a spicy tune. These things shoot fire like crazy its awesome

I’ve had 2 n52 e90s. I am hoping for the day I get a 128i and strip it all down and put all the bolt ons on. My e90 was a blast. Can’t imagine what it would be like with a stripped 128.

any reason for going with the 330i front brakes, vs 335i front brakes since both would be able to clear the 17inch wheels and are comparable in price while using larger rotors?

How do you find the suspension? I go to their website but I don't see anywhere I can click and search the 128i to purchase.

You mention you are running E90 330i front calipers, but did you also upgrade to the larger rotors of the 330i? I am assuming so, but you didn't specify. Just for reference, I am running the E90 330i calipers and brake reaction bracket with the 330i rotors (330mm vs. 300mm). I currently have about 3mm of clearance to my TRM C4 17x9 wheels.

There is nothing left from the M-sport suspension still on the car, correct? M sport steering wheel and body kit only? Does the M sport have a different steering rack to the non M sport?

With the LSD, do you have to pull fuses or deactivate the e-diff?

It can be coded out… Ediff is onyl ABS pump braking te inside wheel so there is no fuse or anything like that but it can be coded out..

Most definitely, the N51 seems to be the unicorn configuration. N52 with a N51 intake manifold is the real winning combo

i have a stock(except for my wheels which are 18") 2012 128i and would like to get your opinion on getting an intake system and ECU tune? Would these modifications be the most bang for my buck for increasing power? Or would i need to get an exhaust system to see gains? I would like to stay away from a loud exhaust. Thanks in advance!

I think it would be best for exhaust and tune actually, especially if you do an AA header with a highflow cat But if you had to pick between exhaust or intake + tune, intake plus tune will be the best out of those two options

Besim, you have a tune on the car, how do you think it impact the reliability/longevity of the engine. I am thinking of getting one of these for autocross, but I need reliability and to avoid any rebuilds.

I tuned my 128i 2 months ago , there is some noticeable differences but I have been getting a lot of check engine lights which are just electrical nothing really mechanical on the cars end. A bmw isn’t reliable...tuning it will make it worse. You tune it to have fun, not to daily drive lol that’s my philosophy behind it but alas every one is different.

Hi! I own a 09 130i, basically that car in 5 door hatchbach, 265hp from factory. I want to take the lsd route, and I can’t decide if helical lsd, or clutch type at 30% more in cost (wavetrac vs osgiken). I’m interested in knowing about your diff setup, and your opinion in wich style to buy, clutch or no clutch. Thanks!
