you dont know what you doing!!! plastic cover needs to be rotated, not bend support bracket. On filter, dont dissassemble fast-connector, just need to push green part inside and unclips easy...

Enrico Rossi when you unbolt cover, rotate complete plastic that slots align from plastic and support, then it slides out.

You said don't forget the o ring but you never put it in? I've just fitted mine and I never used a rubber gasket that it came with. Do you think it will be ok?

there may be no problem in not changing the o'ring. The old o'ring can withstand one more overhaul but the ideal is to change it constantly. if you have not changed the o'ring, check if there is a leak.

Hi Fernando, thanks again for another great video. I have read a lot of forums about bleeding/priming the fuel system on diesel cars. Do we need to bleed after fuel filter change? If yes, how? I've got 2016 320d. Many thanks

hi, it isn't necessary bleeding. when you start the car, the system makes a small circulation of fuel. before you starting the engine, start the car a few times for the system to circulate the fuel and fell the new filter. it is importante too, you try not lost too much fuel when you changing the filter.

Fernando Montenegro if you press start button with foot off brake a few times the car with prime itself a little and fill up fuel filter. It may crank longer than usual. Sometimes quite a bit as it pushes air out of the system. I’ve also seen a few cases of car stalling after starting due to air in system. Just restart. Shouldn’t require bleeding. In fact, bmw does not actually call for priming fuel system but Insta+ does offer capability if you have the software

Did u not need to prime the fuel system? I just changed a fuel filter in a peugeot bipper and it was the worst experience. I done what you are showing and the van wouldn't start after about 8 goes at starting it the battery died. Done abit of research and found it had a priming bulb so after pumping it about 50-100 times finally got her going. After that experience I can't see my bmw starting without priming the line? 🤔🤔

each car has its own fuel system. you cannot change a peugeot fuel filter to watch a bmw video. I did what the video shows. I believe you have had a bad experience

Is the location for the filter on a 2014 328d the same? I’m assuming it’s the same as it’s an f30.

So you didn't depressurise the system? You just let engine cool down and stripped it down like that and no fuel spitting out? Did you disconnect the relay for the fuel pump? Thanks

you don't do that on diesel. once you starve a diesel of fuel you need to reprime the fuel system which could take hours. (not sure how bad it is on these so don't quote me on that). the only real pressure is after the injection pump so there's nothing to worry about when changing the filter

Also, did you 'de-pressurise' the system by disconnecting fuel pump relay and running the engine till it cut out? Or did you just dive straight in?

Hi, these green clips come with the fuel tube. i think they are not sold separately but try at bmw parts store. Is the clip that broke at the input or output of the filter? the filter outlet tube is cheaper because it is smaller, even if the clip that has broken is at the filter inlet, you can buy the outlet and use the clip. filter outlet tube code 16127244726

Hello, I think it will be the reversing light. You have two lights, make sure both are ok. or check all lights.

Hey man, awesome video. Do you have a link or part number for the o-ring? I've been looking everywhere for it and I have not been able to find it. I am not sure what the part is called that it is attached to. My Bentley manual says that it is the "fuel preheating unit". Also, the Bentley F30 manual does not mention anything about changing the o-ring. Thanks for your awesome videos!.

Boas. Estive a ver se encontrava o código no site de peças da bmw mas eles não tem lá essa peça codificada. O melhor é mesmo passar na bmw a pedir. Deixo-te aqui este site onde podes pesquisar os códigos das peças. Sempre que quiseres tirar dúvidas os trocar ideias estás a vontade. Abraço

If you have a spare moment Fernando, :D, can you do a vid on the removal of the instrument cluster? I've got dust in my F31 and it's driving me insane. I can get the main cluster out, 2 torx screws, but can't disconnect the cable running into the back.

Firstly get some proper gloves and then stop being a two bit mechanic. Silicone grease on the O rings and some good tools will help !
