The 750Ld does 0-100km/h in 4.7s not 5.7. This was pretty obvious in the video but maybe some people will get confused idk.

he have 5,7 sec because he is an amateur driver and 4,7sec get profi driver with 10liter diesel in tank and with special tires and on perfect road and with few attempts for best time

I have 730d xdrive 2021 model. Is bloody fast. Yet is 286bhp MHEV. Sometimes I think that should go for 740d but 730d is more economical

2016 bmw 730D G11 model is 0-100 in 6.1 sec and 1698 kg.

Look at the 740d specs shown in the video: faster than 750d (5.7 for 750d and 5.2 for 740d). I think that it was confused during production of the video.

These are the diesel models, BMW has never made a diesel V12, and the Inline 6 is smoother than a V8.

The 740 isn't 100kg lighter than the 750d, look carefully, in the video it's a 750Ld the long wheelbase model and probably better specd too. In reality, with an equivalent config the 50d powertrain is probably like maximum 20kg heavier because of the added turbo and stuff.

Wow, the 750d has nealy 2x power of 730d, but the speed is like 15km/h bigger only. I was thinking about much bigger difference.

@@Mr11ESSE111 Torque doesnt really mean a lot. Funny how everyone thinks Diesel is faster because it has more torque. It has to have more torque by design since it will reach the same power at lower rpms. But that doesnt mean its faster. What really counts is the power and the rpm-range it can be delivered. A single number wont mean anything. Oh and btw. almost any turbocharged petrol engine will outperform a diesel engine in for example 100-200 times as the usable rpm range is just a lot wider.

Why do they have different gear ratios? Isn't it funny for 750 have shorter gear than 740, than 730 ; respectively? Would just expect the opposite, imo.

This is because the difference between all of them is Turbo's. All the same engine but the 750 has bigger Turbo's with alot more torque so the gear ratio is different.

I think the 30d has one, the 40d two and the 50d four turbos.

Well if you remap 265hp (let's say it will add around 30% more power) you then have 340hp and when u tune the 400hp u get a 500+hp. How can that be the same?😂

750d was too new and long version. 740d was driven by hitter temps. 740d is enough for me. its no race car and the longer gear ratio and less weight are good.

As much as I would love to have diesel with 400hp (with simple remap 500+hp) I would go with the 740d too. I'm kinda scared of those 4 turbos (double chance one of the turbos will fail, and that's not cheap)😂

740d was tested in 24 degrees and other ca 10-11, so 740d could be faster. The best option, because 750d is too heavy and to expensive. Buy 2 years old 740d do a remap to 380hp and will eat 750d on breakfast

The 750 was 750ld which is a bigger car, that's the weight difference. I don't think 380hp 740d would eat 750d cuz 750 has 4 turbos and less turbo lag. And you can tune 750 to, and then u have a 500+hp diesel :)
