BMW DPF check and exhaust backpressure test with Bimmer-Tool for Android

Using Bimmer-Tool app to check DPF condition and perform exhaust backpressure in #BMW X1 (E84) with 2.0D N47 diesel engine. This test confirms if the diesel particulate filter is not restricting exhaust system causing power loss and worse fuel economy.
ℹ️ Performing exhaust #backpressure test will show you what's the pressure between engine and DPF at given RPM. You can compare those values with allowed maximum parameters to confirm if the backpressure is not too high, which would indicate full DPF.
ℹ️ Checking #DPF live data to see if the regeneration is not pending, is not blocked, when it was last performed, what are current soot and ash values, and how much miles are left for your DPF.
ℹ️ App also allows you to perform forced DPF regeneration even if there are stored fault codes that should block the procedure. App will constantly check for those codes and clear them is required.

My e60 dpf back pressure was not reading anything on tester and sometimes i had an error about that so i changed the sensor and now it's working, so it's better if you periodically check for error because this sensor is responsable for DPF regeneration,the car won't show anything on dashboard ,if you want the DPF to last long i advice that 💪

@mr-fix The best app works with carista for android.....At the DPF back pressure sensor calibration it asks for min and max value, do i really need to calibrate the new sensor that i have just installed??

At 15% may car started the regeneration, i drove 25% and the DPF 0% soot level , 60km/h ,RPM 2500 , 520d e60 2008

Sorry, but the DPF is not to trap unburnt fuel particles. It is to filter out the soot particle after the fuel IS burnt. Just like you would clean out the chimney if you had a coal or wood burner in your home.
