Frustrated with videos of 'doughnuts' and 'drifting', here is a short video review of the iconic BMW E30. The video was part of a bigger package, which was submitted as part of a major dissertation project, hence the reference to Internet television.

Auto Alex in the beginning, this video, for his first and back in the day is very impressive! The script is great and the editing and camera work looks very professional. No wonder he’s done so well in it since! I can see why Autocar offered the job.

Thank you for this video, I'm absolutely in love with BMW and especially the E30 and looking to buy one. Glad you mentioned the mileage. It was one of my concerns but coming from a Chevrole Suburban 5.7L Vortec V8 that did 14 ish MPG I think I'll manage with the BMW :) . Good video, couldn't agree more with your opinion, and great music as well.

1985 kid too. Had my First E30 just prior to when this video was launched (bought it with the left over change off selling an E46 M3 and couldn't believe how good the E30 was). Now many years later, I've also got a KZfaq Channel (with a whopping 100 Subscribers), also have a S600 amongst other bangers (obviously including an E36 for good measure). Just watched the Podcast and found this - also heavily use the Car/Football terminology when describing myself 😂 Epic. Who knows in 10 years time we could be on a collaboration 😂 Keep up the grind. The content is sublime

The early 80's were a magnificent time for German sport sedans. The E30, 190E cosworth, the Audi Quattro. All were magnificent

Love the cheekiness of my E30 touring, so easy to slap the back end out and it's quite a bit of grunt for a 318i. Best car I've ever owned.

I'm a proud owner of an '87 325is (my second e30) and its my daily driver. Its currently sucking money out of my pocket book but I don't mind one bit. I know my car is special and worth keeping in good condition. Every single time I pass another e30 on the road. I get a smile and a wave. Its that shared knowledge between e30 enthusiasts that we have one of the best drivers cars ever made.

this is how car reviews should be, good information and feedback about the car. dont get me wrong top gear is funny but tbh id rather hear reviews about cars like this than a bugatti veyron or something i can never afford!!

I have a jan 1986 320i and I have to say I've never ever turned the radio on, such great are the driving feelings and the engine sound. E30 for life!!!

I have a 1990 325is e30 and it does have a drivers air bag and when its cold out theres a chime that beeps a warning of possible ice, but yes its pretty simple of a car but a blast to drive! and also gets many compliments.

Even though my e30 isn't quite standard (s50b32 + a bunch of other stuff) I totally get you. Will never sell it. Its just such a great car to have even as a second vehicle.

I have just bought my first E30, (325i with one owner from new!) after looking for a long time for the perfect practical classic, and I am in love with it, it is an unbelievable car, drives better than, and with much more flair than many modern cars I've driven, and much more exciting and connected. I urge anyone to buy one if you can find one that hasn't been molested by Gary boys

@jimlundy9090 I agree -partly. I have a 1987 325eta with a 1994 Vanos M50 (E36) engine chipped ECU 195BHP. Lots of suspension and various mods all tasteful. Best of both worlds E30 + E36. It is the E30 BMW should have built! E30 for life!

very nice video.. :) thanks for uploading it. but...... the e30 did have standard abs since 1986 in the us and could be asked with airbag... so..... correction there.. but other than that Very nice!
