Could this be the most beautiful car BMW has ever made? This is a timelapse video where I rebuild our BMW e36 328i We bought it new but she has seen better days.. so now was a good time for a full refresh!

Was really enjoying this rebuild of my favourite BMW model, and then I saw the North West plates and loved it. I'm all the way from the western cape, where we have car clubs just for these beauties.

Awesome to hear we share the passion! I'm a big fan of e36 (and boxies😁). Thanks for the comment.

Greetings from Malaysia. That's a beauty you have there. Awesome aerial view of the car towards the end. I too own a 36 328i M Sport with M Contour rims to go with it. There aren't many videos of our model to watch. So watching your video makes me love my car even more. Cheers.

You did a great job to save this car. It would certainly have been an insurance write-off. I like the upgrades you did, really looks the part. Have a soft spot for these, have a 323i myself.

@@BroughBuilt you are welcome, I am currently restoring my 1995 e36 328i manual as well..preparing it for a 5.+ K overland trip from Malaysia to the northern most tip of Thailand and back...

First of all i would like to say thank you for your video and all works, which you made on this e36 project. But i can't say that it's a restoration, no, it seems that it's just a bodywork. Because so many problems was not resolved, interior, plastic, steering wheel, and etc. The restoration in my point of view is coming back to the factory or close to it settings and condition. And of course based on for example original booklets and prospects. i hope that this e36 will be really full restorated. Good luck and greetings from e36 owner !

My e36 has similar damage at the fuel cap... I'm way too scared to fix it and have way too little bodywork knowledge... Engines are sadly my only expertise... I wish to restore my e36 the same way and hope that when that day finally comes that I'll be able to find parts for my car... Great video and great car!!!

Thanks man. Maybe get someone with knowledge to help after hours. That way you can get the job done properly and at a reasonable price and learn from them. Good luck!

Was this at The Glen? Also how much would something like this cost?
@BroughBuilt2 жыл бұрын
This was taken at Tshwane mall off Zambezi drive. It's very difficult to estimate a cost because I used second hand parts and did the labour myself. But one could probably expect to pay in the region of 30k . But that's just my gruesstimate🤔

How much days took to do
@BroughBuilt2 жыл бұрын
The whole process took about 1.5 months
@bw15322 жыл бұрын
@@BroughBuilt Was here to ask this same question. Personally I think 1.5 months (of presumably spare time, while working) is freaking amazing. Well done man. I have an e36 that I would love to restore, but the cost and effort is just too much considering I can buy an e46 or e90 for comparatively cheap. I wish I had the time to do it.
@BroughBuilt2 жыл бұрын
@@bw1532 thanks man! Yeah it's always a balance between effort vs reward. But I believe these cars are going to become valuable in time so don't let her go just yes😁
