BMW E36 Ringtool gets Camber plates, Animal Racing console and more!

Күн бұрынIn this video we will be installing many small upgrades and prepare for my start of the track season.
To start of we do some maintenance on the cooling system. I had no idea what was in there so it was a wise decision the change it before it brakes. So I got a Meyle thermostat, Aluminium thermostat housing and Mayle waterpump with a metal wheel.
Later we did some more upgrades. After driving without passenger seat for a while my Animal Racing seat consoles arrived so I was able to put my Recaro Pole Position back in!
And I installed some Silver Project Camber Plates. So I have more options to change my camber setup on the car. Which was to little with my current setup.

Your car is coming up real nice! Congrats!! Just a tip, those older top mounts were not from M3! They are regular E36 top mounts, that's probably why the camber wasn't enough.

Thanks a lot! Ahh thanks for noticing that, I was told they were M3, anyway we are finally able to perfect the alignment, can’t wait! 😍

Really sweet car and nicely modified. I wish mine was as clean! I noticed a huge improvement when changing up the stock geo setup and going for 3 deg of camber at the front and 1.5 at the rear. If you haven't got a short shifter yet I'd recommend a PMC, really good for the price and the shift feel is loads better. Best mod I've done IMO

Thanks a lot for you comment. I am planning on going for 3.5 in the front and max out in the rear, the car is mostly for track use so I don't care that much about wear. I tried a Coolerworx shifter from a friend and that felt fantastic, but I am leaning towards a CAE, although they are very expansive.

Thank you so much for your comment! I really try to keep the car in as best condition possible while using it on track. A bit more effort but worth it in my opinion

Have you taken the car for a drive with the top mounts yet? I have the same top mounts with spax rsx coilovers which were made for stock top mounts, i had to wind my coilovers up to get the correct height and get a knocking and the spring twisting, just wondering if you are getting the same? Silver project sell camber mounts for the stock suspension which have the same height as the stock mounts hopefully they work

Yes I did a test drive and I definitely ruined my alignment but that was expected. I wind the coilovers down to release pressure so the spring wouldn’t shoot out. So I jacked them up again to get the correct ride height

@@TJS36 could be because of different spring rates, the taller top mounts should fix my problem

Hoe heb je de ventilator eraf gekregen zonder de radiateur eruit te halen? Ik zat laatst echt te klooien om alles uit elkaar te halen om bij mijn thermostaat te komen haha.

Mijn auto heeft geen ventilator😅 als mijn auto warm word gebruikt hij de airco fan om te koelen
