I think if the young man sticks around and helps through the entire project, maybe a nice thought would be to buy him a set of new tires for all four corners. He might not think much about it at the time, but he’ll look back and know you were looking out for him. Looks like a fun project, thanks for sharing.

My brother has a G8 Pontiac - it's a similar setup to this car - size is similar and 6l LS with 6 speed tranny. It goes like the WIND. This swap has potential.

I had an 01 530i. M sport. Truly one of the beat cars I've owned. Was a 5 speed manual and got 32 mpg on hwy. I put a lot of miles on it and the only problem I recall was with the abs module. Sent off and repaired for $100. Great car. They don't make em like they used too.

I remember back in the day fellas would swap small block Chevys into Jaguars. My neighbor had one years back. This should be a fun adventure. I have a shop bird also. Its name is Chirp. It flys in every morning as soon as I open the big shop door.
