That blue radiator drain plug, i touched the one on my X5 and it fell off. Mechanic obviously sheered it off but then just glued head back on. So had to delay my coolant change till i bought a new one !! Further confirmation why i try and do all work on my cars myself !! Thanx again for entertaining us !!

I remember doing a 'coolant flush' using washing up liquid once of one of my mates shitboxes. We think it had oil in the coolant from a previous head gasket problem so it needed some 'degreasing'. Worked really well actually better than expected had to flush out with tap water a few times though.

Personally I would’ve mixed the coolant/water. To my cost - on a very cold morning I just added neat coolant - took about 5 miles before the hose on the underside of the car blew off - emptying the lot in seconds. Stopped fairly quickly - recovery bloke towed us to services and fixed pipe back on. Think it did damage head gasket - as I had to keep topping up with water. Got some head gasket stuff & put into radiator. Think it helped but I’ll know when I get it running / through mot as sat in garden 5 years

An idea for a future Citybug video ... I get MOT advisories on my 09 C1 for 1.1.11(c) "Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material Nearside/Offside rear" randomly some years and not others depending on the tester 😂🤣😂 Not fixed yet after 5 years but probably should do soon lol.
