Thank you for posting this. Very helpful! Some additional comments. Do not try to do this without removing the wheel. I did to save time and it did not. The metal clip securing the bulb is very fragile. I broke it and that created lots of extra work. You have to push it in straight which is tough with the wheel in place. To open the clip, push forward and at the same time spread the metal bars at the top. The lower arm of the clip actually holds the plug in place so removing the clip before removing the plug may be easier.

These lights are dangerous cuz they make high voltage when it is starting, and they can kill, so thats for safety make like that

I saw someone online replace the bulb without removing the wheel, by turning the wheel all the way to the right (for changing left bulb) and vice versa

BMW designer is very smart, replacing a low bean light bulb required taking off the front wheel. 😆

Yeah mate,come change xenon bulb with me on my passat b6.You must take down the whole front bumper and headlight to change the ******* bulb.

Thats the case also with astra with xenon, whole bumper needs to take down

No need to remove the wheel, just turn the steering wheel

Did the lights stay icy blue like in the video ? Or did they turn completely bright white? Just wondering

They are just blue for a minute, and after that thay become white

They should be coded to work propertly, like turn signals or reverse light

Hello, thanks for the video! I have a question do you have a shadow of the tip of the bulb on the lens? Is that normal? I recently changed mine and I have that shadow but on the wall everything looks good. Thank you !

original is 4300K color, higher than that will not help in rain at night or fog and annoys others ...

the bulb and daylight running lights are separated, if your bulb are brroken DRL will still work

So i found out that the rat chewed one of the DRL wires. Got it fixed and it's working now lol

does anyone know if the F20 and F30 uses the same bulb size for their xenon headlights??

It should be D1S for bixenon, but best way is to open it and see to be 100% sure, it is not hard work

@@KrunoEti yeah just did. both was the exact same brand just different model number. one ended with 44 and one was 40. but now I'm having low beam failure
