How to remove broken fuel pot dot from BMW to replace it if the spring holding the door in closed or open position fails. Unfortunately you need to replace whole assembly, as the old one needs to be destroyed to remove it from the car.
In my 1-Series E87 I started with removing painted door element, fuel cap, and lock assembly. Next you can drill 4 holes which you can use to access and brake plastic locks holding the assembly in place. Cutting though rubber seal will also help you a lot when remove old part from your #BMW.
When fitting new part, you will have to remove wheel and wheel arch to access 3 nuts that hold fuel line. With those 3 removed you can move the fuel line so it's not in your way.
