Peter, those apillars are a work of art, I know you have said before that you can't make pillars for customers without the car there but I am just planning my g21 setup and these pillars inc. Mids and tweets would be amazing if you could replicate for me? Let me know if this would be possible? Loving your work and attention to detail, will morecthan likely sub to your patreon.

Hi, We built pillars remotely, there is an A-pillar fabrication video on the channel about it to show how it can be done. We have to send mounting rings out, you need a multitool for cutting the pillars, lolly sticks and superglue, plus the midrange for testing clearance. If you have the guts to mount the rings with our guidance on video call, then it can be done.

What is the most common freq range for the front sub? I am in the process of doing two 6.5 subs in my Chevy S10 and was thinking 60 to 300 hertz ?
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
It can become locatable above 100Hz, so you need stereo midbass above that. You can learn a lot from the RTA evaluations on our Patreon channel where this system was analysed too. You can find the link in description.

First of all. Thank you thank you thank you. For taking the time to make the videos. Thank you ones again. Now question. Because of you and showing SQ audio systems. I want one now. So I’m building a sq for my bmw 550i. I have in there now a full match audio system with a m5dsp. But I’m moving to a better system now. 3 hybrid audio amps. Helix dsp pro. Sterio integrity 3 inch mids n tweeters. Audio one 8 inch midbass. And I’m working on which subwoofer to used. And the question is Peter. Should I leave the match 8 midbass under the seat or should I do IB with rh audio one 8 inch. Second question. What is best true IB or trunk IB. Some how I feel you’re going to tell me true IB is better. Which I appreciate for taking your time for reading the comments and replies. Thank you ones again Peter. Your awesome bro
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
Hi Changing 8”s doesn’t make much difference. Making it IB gets rid of all the rattles just like we described in this video. If you have a sedan car, then trunk IB is the way to go. As the subs are closer to you behind the seat, subs can play higher up in frequency range without major issues, which gives better integration to the 8”s, more punch. True IB playing from spare wheel well has different characteristics due to location. Fortunately we have weekly topics to describe “good subbass” in long videos on Patreon. You may benefit from watching and learning from those posts.

I know you love ib under seats Peter but have you ever tried them sealed off. Not vented into the seals. Car sounds amazing.

Unfortunately that can’t work. There is no airspace for the drivers like that, possibly like 0.5L -> zero bass below 120Hz

Yes, that is the biggest challenge for almost everyone and that’s what makes the difference between many speakers just making noise vs Pssound systems.

- Good afternoon. What tweeters would you recommend for Helix P Six Ultimate to play high? Thanks
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
Hi Amp is almost irrelevant in the question. Installation position and aiming matter more as well as who will tune it with what experience and what DSP. Choice of tweeters is so wide, so so wide. What have you used in the past and what suited your ears most?

Hi peter, thanks for the video. I have learnt alot from ur videos. I am using zapco 150.6ap×2 with dsp. Do i need extra battery for the same or my main barrry(45ah) is enough for these amps. Thanks
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
45Ah is rather on the low side. I’d recommend another lithium battery at the back 60-100Ah, which would give you stress-free performance even without the engine running.

Peter what are your thoughts on building the dash corners for mid AND tweets vs mids on the dash and tweets on the pillars?
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
If you have OEM locations on dash, then go for it, but if you have to pull a dashboard out to get the installation done, then it’s big effort vs pillars which can also work great. Realistically tuning is the biggest challenge though, isn’t it?
@alexlaser.6 ай бұрын
in dash location you will have a ton of reflections (much harder and work with TA and EQ) instead in pillars you can compensate for that with precise orientation. note that almost all DSPs penalize you in sound quality when you use all EQ bands available in them. except Zapco and Helix as i noticed.
@pssound97496 ай бұрын
@@alexlaser. this is far from the truth. Pillars can equally suffer just as much from reflections and especially getting double pin-point image at certain frequencies. Of course that is rather competition level topic. EQ work is equally challenging to get it right without experience in tuning. Most of our cars have mids on the dash built for competition.
@alexlaser.6 ай бұрын
100% agree with you. but i'm talking for a normal person not competition level car, my mistake for not mentioning it. @@pssound9749

@@pssound9749 I was able to pull a dash from a salvage yard. I was already planning a dash build for midranges and tweets in the pillars. Someone on FB mentioned locating the tweets on their dash, and that got me thinking about mids and tweets in the corners.
