In this "Does It Change" episode we challenge the Street Bike Tire Changer with the BMW R1250GS adventure bike tire, it still had the stock tires, the Metzeler Karoo 3 with a tire pressure monitor system and we changed it to Dunlop Trailmax Mission.

I had the "other guy's" manual tire change machine for years. Unbolted it from the floor and moved it twice. Bought the Rabaconda last winter and just used it for the first time this week, with Dunlop TMMs on a R1200GS. Wow! How stupid easy! I fiddle-farted around with the front as I figured out how to use the machine. Screwed up, watched this video several times, redid it, etc. bingo! Got it! When it came to the rear, I kinda had the hang of it and it went almost flawless. Won't say I didn't break a sweat but, it was really simple. I'm sure in another pair of tires I'll be as good as this guy - haha. Bottom line, yea it's pricy, but it does indeed work, well. Very well. And portable! I'm a convert. Would recommend, two thumbs up, would buy again, and all that.

What a clever design. I am thinking hard about getting one after seeing it handle the Trailmax. I have a HD Pan America, 2018 Honda Goldwing and a 2007 BMW R1200R. Can this machine with the proper accessories change all those wheel sizes?

Yep, it works on all these bikes. You need some extras. Duck Head Kit for cross spoked wheels for Pan America and BMW adapter for the single sided swing arm

Great tool, you spoke so much about the TPS but your camera man didn't show the TPS once which was a pity.

Do you recommend this or the other tire changer. I want to change my KLR 650 and my KTM 890 adventure but I see this new Street version and I want something that can do both!

How about the rear of the 1250gs? Does it support single side 5 lug pattern wheels?

this is the front wheel. Do you need an adapter for the rear wheel hub?

Is that a 21” or 19” wheel? You said 21. But it’s from a 1250 - 19” is stock on 1250. I think the 850 has 21”

When will the updated brackets be sent out for those of us who bought the kits with the incorrect brackets?

I feel like this video was made for me (R1200GSA… front wheel) since I contacted them due to not being able to break the bead off with that design flaw of the bracket. I was told that they have received the new bracket and will be shipping out this week. I took the wheel to a local shop, had them break the bead and remove the tire completely and then used the rabaconda to install the front tire. Was a cake walk less the hour I spent trying to break the front bead. The rear tire took less than 5 minutes to dismount, total of 10 minutes for the rear. Anyhow, hopefully it’ll be this week that they ship it out.

@@slk5020 Thanks for the info! I've only done one rear so far and have been putting off the front as I can't get the leverage needed with the bracket in the wide position. Hopefully the bracket shows up soon.

Hey, if you want a challenge shown us how to change the tyres on a Triumph 900 Scrambler please. I've just done a pair and it took me 3 hours. I could have done it faster with tyre levers. Show me what I'm doing wrong please.

@@Rabaconda thanks for the reply. I have since done tyres on the 1200 Scrambler (Pirelli STR) with the correct duck head and in a 1290 Super Adventure S (Mitas E07+) and they were both relatively easy but the 900 Scrambler with shallow drop centre wheels was an absolute nightmare to do. I was just interested to see a professional have a go.
