nice video. we just got our 2020 x7, and kept getting rear seat lock error messages. it seems that if all passengers vacate the car, then the driver can use the rear seat forward, then back control (the first part of your video), that should "reset" the seats and hopefully the message goes away. A real flaw in the design if you ask me.

How do you fix the error message or one of the second row seats has limited movement?

I just got a 2019 X7 and the left seat in the 3rd row doesn’t want to go down and it says that seat is lock? It doesn’t want to move at all. Anything helpful ti fix this problem?

Appreciate your coverage of seat configuration. Can the second row be moved back in order to create more space/legroom than what the X5 offers? If so, is this applicable to both, bench and captain chairs setup, in the X7?

Both can be moved... you'll only gain about .5 in of extra legroom for the second row compared to the X5... the main space in an X7 is for the 3rd row in comparison.

Probably because someone pulled the manual cable/strap while the seat was folded down from the motor

Hows the tilt of the 2nd row compared to a 7 series . does it tilt the same ? thanks

in terms of reclining? or how it folds... compared to the 7 series it folds completely :P but in terms of reclining you have pretty much the same adjustment as a front row seats UNLESS you have the bench seat, then you're more limited in recline in trade for being able to fold flat for max cargo.

When i press the button on my 2019 X7 it only slides the 2nd row seat forward 6" but it does not tilt them like your video.... is there anything i need to do to reprogram them?

By the way... the button that i press is the one on the driver seat... My wife is trying to drop of my kids and would like to use this button to access the 3rd row

Does the middle section of middle row seat fold down independently? I like to slide skis in there and still be able to have a kid on either side. I do have a ski rack, but when skis are dry, I like to throw them in and go.

Push forward again using the driver door button, then push back using the same button

How do you work the passenger side second row seat?

Either from the back of the car (to fold it down or up) or from the side of the passenger seat itself.

Those seats are only electric? Wtf do you do if the car is on fire and kids are in the back??

Fire, like water, automatically opens windows and tailgate as long as electrical connections needed haven’t melted

music is a fantastic idea! the only issue we run into is royalties for most music and over use of stock public domain music found in other videos.

The middle row only allows that much of space for passengers to get to the 3rd row seats????? 57% of Americans will not get through to the 3rd row without losing their grace.....because we a a very overweighed nation.....

@@BMWofFW 60% of Americans are OBESE....even if the kids are fine now because they could fit, they be for long.... kids grow up fast......they won't fit...lol.... just get a VAN if you need to transport kids or 7 passengers.....
