Considering that half of the work is done by robots I strongly disagree with you... I think the only brand that truly has craftsmanship is Bugatti. All cars are handmade and the use of robots isn't that massive as BMW or the Volkswagen group. Also Alfa Romeo builds some of their cars all (or at least a big part) by hand, like the 8C or the 4C.

@@Big-vd5vj BMW ended the production of the i8 in March, originally planned April this year. I was surprised they did because they sold this car a lot. But regarding the hundreds if not thousands of issues with the car all across the world, it makes sense since the owners came in running with issues under warranty which costed BMW possibly millions. I planned on getting a new one, but suppose a used one will suffice, at a better price too!

@@Mr.Cheeseburger24 I have had 3 and only problem in 6 yrs is the fuel flap on the 2014 car the 2017 and 2019 roadster faultless - only 2500 roadster worldwide so will be as valuable as E26/M1 in 40 yrs !!

@@Big-vd5vj BMW have said no to supercars exotica for the future they lost millions on it like the Z8 and M1 - hence collectability and yes a very low mileage 2014 car at Euro 50000 makes sense to buy and it will appreciate !

This is not unusual, I recommend a trip to Germany to the BMW plant, the Plates in the Cafeteria are made from Carbon fiber, nearly everything there is. These are unusable carbon pieces which are to small for the production of the car, so they make everything thinkable out of carbon before throwing it away. I have an lease on an i8 and I got a small 1:18 model of the car put on an carbon-pedestrial

What I am about to say will shock you and you cannot unsee. Look at the rear of the BMW i8 at 23:27 Now take a closer look at the part between the blue lines. Doesn't it look like the i8 swallowed a Porsche 911?

pretty straightforward to me, adhesives, panels being glued together, spot welding, the rest is done by people. Battery assembly of the cells shipped from Samsung also pretty clear.

BMW walked away from this car way to early...it had at least another five years to a decade before it looked dated ...it would have transitioned to full electric in that time I'm sure!!!.😎💕🇬🇧🇺🇦

me encanta el vehículo I8, , UN MOTOR TRES CILINDROS Y OTRO MOTOR ELÉCTRICO, y encima enchufable, como si fuera un teléfono móvil, venga ya, vaya tomadura de pelo. Y ENCIMA EN SU DÍA 80 -100 MIL EUROS.. lo primero las propias ruedas generan energiza i en su movimiento y este a su vez en un alternador, como los molinos de viento eólicos, lo segundo si ya un motro de 4 tiempos es el peor motor que hay tres cilindros ya no te digo lo malo que es. fallo del automovil su entrada, el fenómeno que pensó en eso, habría que encarcelarlo, dentro del vehículo los plastifico dan pena, suenan,. es como si estuvieras en un automovil de los mas barato del mercado. la tecnología que te quieren vende, es de submarinos de 1930. que son mucho mejores en realidad tecnologia de 1889..Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton, más conocido como Porsche P1.el Egger-Lohne C.2 Phaeton, El P1 salió por primera a rodar por las calles de Viena el 26 de junio de 1898 y fue presentado al público en septiembre de 1899 durante la Exhibición Internacional de Berlín.a un propulsor eléctrico que pesaba 130 kilos y que rendía una potencia de 3 CV, llegando en momentos puntuales a los 5 CV de entrega, lo que le permitía alcanzar una velocidad máxima de 35 km/h. Este motor eléctrico estaba gestionado por una complicada caja de cambios de 12 velocidades (seis para circular hacia delante, dos para marcha atrás y otras cuatro para frenadas) y tomaba su energía de una gigantesca batería de 500 kilos que le otorgaban una autonomía total de 80 kilómetros.HOY EN DÍA CON LA TECNOLOGÍA QUE HAY SERIAN DE 2000 KM SIN REPOSTAR.
