Thank you for this video! I'm thinking I am having the same issue with my 2011 BMW X3. First I noticed that my radio stations weren't coming in as clear as they used to... then i started having issues with locking/unlocking and then my BMW not recognizing the key fob quickly. I'd have to run my key fob all around the steering wheel column for up to a minute to get it to be recognized and start. A real pain. My joke became "God forbid I'm in a Horror movie right now in the car that won't start!" I did the fuse check and replaced the batteries in key fob with no luck ! Makes sense living in WET RAINY SEATTLE area that there would be some kind of corrosion issues. Any time you can save a trip to the BMW shop is greatly appreciated! Not to mention it takes about 2 months to even get an appt there. Going to try this step next! Thanks!!

Great video 👍 does the red/pink pin boost the signal through the glass? Mines snapped and my central locking Isn't working 😬. I've also replaced my diversity antenna.

Bought a 2014 bmw x5 35i they key fob will not unlock/lock or trunk feature. Once the car is running i can manually lock and unlock doors so locks work. I've checked two fuse boxes but its hard getting to the BDC box. Could this be antenna issue as well?

I have e61 as well.. recently key fob stopped working but before that my radio FM was also out of function as well as one of the back tail light on the right side. Is that all coming from broken antenna? Did you tried to check the fuses first? Thanks for the great video btw :)

Is the e61 comfort access cars require a different diversity module than the non comfort access cars? I do know that CA cars have other antennas but is the diversity unit the same?

Question? Did your 3rd break light work even though that circuit board was fried? I have a 07 530xi wagon and both fabs stopped working after the back window was left open during a rain storm….UHG!!!! after checking for fuses to be blown and find them ok….I took it apart as you did and found the curvy board soaked. Typically I blow dry those boards and Thank God it fixes it…. But not this time? So I am wondering if you had other malfunctions due to that curvy board other then the key fab? I do not ? Just both key fabs.

when you change this antenna, don't you have to set it/reschedule with ECU or some other softwares from the car? or you just changed it and thats it?

Will a bad fuel door locking actuator cause a fob to stop working?

WTF... If the key doesn't work to unlock the car, how did you get the rear hatch open? Usually, when key stops working, you have to change the battery in the key.
