I could not believe it was so easy to repair this leak that I had for so long... But it worked. Thanks a lot... I will be able to use my convertible without fear of wetting my pants.

Dude to the rescue again. Appreciate it! My top was leaking today and I went over it for an hour trying to figure out how. I will try this.

Great idea, thanks. I have a hardtop on my e30 now, for the winter. But this spring I will be doing this for sure, and not just at the A-Pillar. My right rear seal is like a sieve. And you're right, new seals are frickin' expensive.

Yeah, I have been gone for a bit. I'm coming back! And in my experience, its between canvas and the rubber.

In my case it is because the seal to canvas was letting water in. And I AM on BFC. I'll be posting more often :)

so you dont pull the whole seal off? just half of it and just clean it , then apply the epoxy? sorry im only looking at videos and haven't taken the time to look at my e36 lol , getting ready to replace the whole soft top soon ,

Are you still on BF dot com? Never see you post there anymore. Anyways, interesting DIY. So water does actually come in in between the seal and the canvas to create the a-pillar leak, not because the rubber doesn't sit tight against the windshield frame? Or is it?

@millertimebmw I mean my seals are 20 yrs old :D they had shrinken , so now they let water +the sound of the wind in (windnoise only over 120km/h though)

2001 bmw325 convertible- anyone know part no. for weather strip seal for the side windows? and an install on youtube would be great.
