You lucky man. After reading the review and watching this, the M has become top of my wish list. Been in love with the RR ever since I had an excruciatingly short test ride on one. This M has me drooling. I looked up the maintenance free chain btw and why has this not been invented before? Also, price point on the chain? And just to be a bit superficial, I absolutely adore the front view. The "eyes" look like a fairy dragon. No wonder it wants to fly. :) Anyway, no hope of ever being able to afford even the normal RR but one can dream....

My 2021 RR M package is fast enough for me thanks. The TFT start up is a bit humdrum compared to the fancy graphics on the S1000RR. Also not too keen on the silver engine casings and black rear frame. Think the rose gold colours for both on the M package sets off the bike a lot better.

It'll be the daddy in superstock racing but they seem to struggle in wsbk/bsb the last couple of seasons considering how strong the road bike is look at the isle of man tt Peter Hickman can lap a superstock less than 1% slower than a full fat superbike which is at least double the price and on slick tires vs road tires for the superstock amazing how far road bikes have come

Can’t believe it my first bike cost $3700 which was a 92 Suzuki Gsxr 1100...15 bikes later my 2014 Competition used HP4 cost 15k. How the hell does this M package cost 36k.. 4K dollars less then my 2016 C7 Z51 that I’m sitting on in my profile picture! Pure madness!

sounds really minor, but i love how they got rid of all the horrid bronze engine casing covers and rear subframe colours. I loved my S1000RR, but i hated those tones on it.

Because it’s in the engine. It’s also in the suspension, triple tree, winglets, air box, rear sets, exhaust, brakes, levers etc. I have an s1000rr and it would have costed significantly more than 10k to do do similar mods.

From what I have seen, this bike isn't quite worth the money to a normal rider, other than to add to a collection or a BMW fanatic. Like they built this bike with race teams as their actual target audience.

No, sorry. There is really absolutely nothing about the bike that would make up for the price difference to the S. Same torque, 5 more horsepower and a bad suspension that will immediately be replaced by serious track riders or race teams. Everything else, carbon bling, etc. I already have on my S1000RR. For this price I would rather change the brand altogether.
