The fact that BMW can make ZF's 8-speed automatic feel like a dual clutch transmission is nuts. The gear spacing is very optimal for performance and it's only a torque converter auto.

It does make sense when you consider ZF is a German company and has been developing variants of this 8 speed for a long time now. Autos have come a long way from the slush-boxes of the 80s and 90s. I had an S4 with a dual clutch and now having bought the newer model with the auto I find it is ALMOST as good as a DCT. they are seriously impressive.

@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan that’s the front wheel drive transmission ZF makes correct? I have zero experience with them and thus I can’t comment. But definitely enjoy the 8 speed that I currently roll.

E28 m5 (m535i) have 286hp (not 276hp) The e34 3.6l have 315hp (not 307hp The e34 3.8l have 340hp (not 333hp) The e39 have 400hp (not 394hp) The e60 is right👍🏻 The f10 have 560hp (not 554hp) and in the Competition 575hp and in the Competition Edition 600hp

I wish BMW did put a dual clutch in the E60, I got a 6MT M5 and that car is a fast. A dual clutch with the V10 the car would be a rocket.

The f90 have 600hp (not 594hp) The Competition have 625hp not 617hp
