odd concept. A 5 series with deleted armrest storage, hard front seat, hard suspension, 4door but lack of second roll space. The owner might just want to order a m2cs instead of the m5cs.

You're forgetting the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V blackwing which has 668hp from a supercharged engine from the C7 Z06 Corvette and has a 10 speed automatic transmission.

The new one is not even that bad I am BMW Fanboy but that's what I hate about the BMW community that always the new series is hated to death until a newer generation comes and then the people like it

@@motogpf1fan939 nah it just looks horrible , same goes for the g80 m3 and m4, still think they look ugly. I say that as a bimmer fan, but their newer cars look very bad, new 2 series, m2, m3, Ix and so on.

I own a 2023 M5 comp and spec’d full M performance Titanium exhaust from the factory. It sounds insane. I can’t imagine needing more volume.

About the sound part, a friend has pre-LCI USA spec in Europe and it sounds like a beast. No filters, nothing just pure glorious v8 and cracks and bangs. You can literally feel the vibrations of the sound when downshifting.

As an M5 comp owner, I really yearn for that M5CS - the bonnet, the seats and the lights look gorgeous. It’s a shame though that all of these features were reserved for the CS, when BMW offer so little difference between M5 and M5 Comp. Consider too that the LCI came out relatively quickly, which overall short-changes the early adopters. Puts me off buying a BMW M in the first 2-3 years of the life cycle.

so uh basically no difference? If a had a comp lci I wouldn't regret anything or whatever that the cs exists. The seats are worse in terms of comfort and every cs looks the same after all

@@DBrealmadrid9606 Yeah, the issue for M cars is that they normally lag the base model launch by a year or so and then adopt the range-wide LCI when it happens. 3 years would be fine but not many people are on the initial allocation so, for a lot of buyers, the LCI will land much sooner than that. It is what it is but given BMW have ironed out some kinks by then, the first gen M cars can seem a little outdated. Great to have the new car kudos but it doesn’t last long. Even less so when a competition comes out less than 12 months after launch.

The seats look amazing, but the regular M5 seats are far more comfortable for a daily, and they already look really good. Bucket seats are overrated. I would never switch out my regular M5 seats for CS seats. Getting yellow DRLs is a easy fix, and i've already seen several F90 LCI owners put CS bonnets and diffusers on their cars. You could basically easily get the exterior look of the CS with a few simple mods. Also, 360 camera and B&W sound system are some of the options that are not available for the CS at all. It was mainly made to be a track car.

It's not on photos, but seeing the new G87 M2 irl vs the pictures I'm sure it will look nice but E34, E39 and F90 is peak M5 for me.

@@rezahartemink5507 My opinion is that the difference between the modern and retro is between the E38, E39, E46 etc and E60 and E90. I myself got an F82 M4, I enjoyed my E90 330i and my friends E46 330i a lot and the F82 is very similar in the characteristics of them. The F82 is more like an E90 than it is to an F32.

As a Mercedes fan from a long time Im gonna say that im just in love with every M5 except the new upcoming m5. Don't get me wrong e63s is a monster but M5 is just🤌🏼. Everytime I see E63s alongside with M5 i can look at them all day and just appreciate these 2 last monsters from Germany.

You don't have to choose sides lol. I'm on my third BMW and owned a Mercedes. I liked both, having an F82 M4 I'd like to try an AMG V8. Hands down the best sounding engines.

It appears like the rear seats won't fold down on the M5CS, u might say it is irrelevant but if I get a saloon, I think having that function is useful to carry skis etc. is actually a reasonable drop in practicality.

Would you guys ever take the M5CS to the dyno? We all know the M5C makes almost 700hp compared to 625hp that BMW advertises but since BMW said the M5CS has 635hp would you ask the owner of the car to let you do a dyno run to see how much the car actually makes compared to the M5C?

So interesting. All these changes and then when you drive these cars together there is no difference except feel. You were pushing quite a bit on the backroads and autobahn and they delivered the same. 0,1 here or there is not noticeable on the road...

Last be honest the CS has a stage 1 tune and is actually 700bhp or more it also has a tcu tune more like stage 2 xhp

Funny enough the last 2 C63s I’ve seen is the drivers both had hats on backwards and an empty car and the last M5 I saw had a family in it. It’s rare to see M5’s in Western Australia. I saw that one about 4 or 5 months ago

16:45. The exhaust sounds like a 4 … it person they sounded differently when launched in 2020 (USA) could it be the APF filters? My take from driving the M550 fast but no real engagement m5 from start up felt more alive.. The M3 CS is probably the more engaging choice

I think the comp is more practical because of the 5th seat. Also..... those cs seats look awfully painful; are they comfortable if you daily drive them? Ps i dont think the cs is worth the money bmw is asking them... cuz you could get your regular tune for cheaper by a reliable company and still have more hp? Right?

I agree it is over-priced but they are holding their value way better than the regular M5s so likely make a better investment if you can afford it. Whereas a tuned car is going to tank in value comparatively. Also I think the performance enhancements are in weight and engineering rather than power and torque output. Personally I would choose the M5CS if both cost were no object and it wasn’t for daily use (which my M5 is).
