I have a Moto Guzzi V7 Classic and a Moto Guzzi V7iii Milano that’s ecu tuned, exhaust, suspension, etc…and I’m totally in love with the R NineT. I find my Milano plenty fast enough for the street and commuting, wild to think the R NineT has literally twice the power and twice the torque. That’s an incredible amount of power for the road. Fantastic video and really enjoyed watching it from here in the US. Subscribed!

Hi, nice review. Not sure why, but when I took one for a test in Paris, I wasn't as enthusiastic as all the reviewers. On the plus side, the chassis did feel light and nimble, but the clutch was horrible and stiff and bit far too far out (probably an easy adjustment and the bike was brand new). I also didn't find the engine that smooth (also not run in) but I only did urban riding and a tiny bit of faster roads. I had also just jumped off my Livewire One, which is faster and smoother and has no clutch🤣 You didn't have these issues?
@christianburger252 ай бұрын
I would say this is one of the best looking bikes on the market in this brushed aluminum with red frame. Sadly this 719 option with the select package costs $22,000 here in the US. Which is S1000XR money. Certainly temping to be the coolest looking rider on the road though!

Hello from South Wales. I'll be interested to see how this bike will compare to a naked 1300cc R, watercooled model, when BMW have sold off the 1250 ones. Incidentally, when younger, I used to change bikes year on year but have had my current bike for almost nineteen years. 120 crank BHP and a dry weight of 400 lbs serves me well enough. You're a bit too goodlooking to be a tomboy. Try climbing a tree or something. Where'd you get that accent from ? Eastern Europe or Hypervalue ?

@@Deetroiter I’ve ridden the last generation Stelvio which I found interesting and engaging. But, it’s not for me. I understand the new Stelvio has a hydraulically operated assist and slipper clutch that still (magically?) has maintained some of the noise and clunky character of previous versions. I know back in the day the dry clutch on road and track bikes had some mechanical advantages but, with the new synthetic oils and filters that actually filter, aside from nostalgia, character or just the need to be “different” I can’t see why anyone would opt for a dry clutch. Clearly, I’m missing something.

Please learn how to use your gears, you always ride around with the motor revving higher than it needs too. The bike may be capable of doing x mph in each gear, but it will pull the same speed in a higher gear and sound so less tiring, makes you look like a complete novice.
@tonykeast99662 ай бұрын
Man, you need to get over this fixation you have with another rider's gear selection and repeated criticism about it. Consider these points please... She's making a first ride video, so she's exploring everything on yet another unfamiliar bike. Talking and riding and button prodding and thinking. In her 3rd language. For only a brief moment, while she messed about with modes on the alien switchgear and held a gear marginally too long - if your being a hypercritical dick about it. Not worth a remark. On the very short motorway section... she had another few gears left for sure. But when she's trying to produce a video containing a variety of situations while sticking to the speed limit and not get red flagged by KZfaq AI safety police, the only way to show the viewers a real world range of engine sounds is to play around with the gears. So she gets a segment of higher rev range footage at 70. Nice one. She also felt any vibrations through the rev range. Felt the engine braking characteristics when rolling off and the throttle response rolling back on at higher revs. Nice work. There's more to a test ride experience review than you seem to think. Deimante spends time away on launches learning from a wide range of journalists, test riders and experienced professionals in the bike world. Do you think they advise her to roll around in a high gear all the time? Do you think the dealers/importers/manufacturers technician's who hand her a precious test bike with near zero miles on the odometer... do they want her to bugger up the engine and gearbox run-in procedure by following YOUR advice? Or did they tell her to keep the engine spinning, play with the revs and not labour it in too high a gear please? As per the manufacturer's guidelines and mechanical common sense. Deimante mate, you are doing a grand job and those of us that understand the bigger picture salute you. Hope these points and the fuller context make sense to tetchy critical wrong gear advice guy. 😉
@joebloggs13172 ай бұрын
@@tonykeast9966 It's not being critical for the sake of it, riding in a low gear effects more than just your ear drums, how about instant acceleration/deceleration every time you touch the throttle, that will do wonders for her confidence in corners. You state that it's OK for her to continue to ride as she does at present, would you be of the same opinion if her riding gets her seriously injured or worse.
@tonykeast99662 ай бұрын
@@joebloggs1317 hey I'm always up for a good debate. I'll happily debate each of your points. The main point is though, it READS like criticism for no reason. That's what sucks. Technically breaking down the physics and mechanics and risks/rewards in this subject is a big old effort. That takes pages if not a chapter in a well written book. I'm not bloody doing that, but Keith Code did a fantastic job in his books, all the info is in there. Deimante owns that book and has read it more than once. She's no mug you know. I've seen her ride off camera and I'm confident in her abilities. As I said, when she's making videos, that's all you get to see. The context gets lost. For the purpose of an edited 20 minute video, it really is just about mixing up the engine note for a viewers easily bored eardrums. Within the boundaries of UK speed limits, media guidelines and responsible riding on the road. She accomplished that. Nowt dangerous or even risky. Holding a couple of thousand rpm in an alternative gear is nae bother at all, in this context. In most contexts! If it was icy or wet or at track speeds or dickhead road speeds... that's different. The margins of traction and control and risk are compressed in THAT context. But that's irrelevant here. The bird is only plodding around comfortably at road speeds, easily within her skill level. Easily within practically every qualified rider's skill level. I debate why you are so feart of a bit of revs! It's not at Keith Code advanced track riding analysis. It's a few seconds of a few videos that you are overthinking and haven't communicated your point well about. That's the way she read them, I see why too. In the coming months she's gonna be riding trackday on the Apex build. She's gonna try and be really transparent about the track journey and let viewers learn from her inevitable mistakes and no doubt progress. It'll be amazing. She will get her education from the experienced and qualified team at the track. They know how to be critical constructively and it's their task to teach and support. I think she'll be safe and smart about it. I'll talk to her lots about anything required, I've got about a quarter century of relevant experience to help her with. But I know when to shut the fuck up with her or any rider or racer at a track I've worked with😂. She's gonna have even more experienced people than me me with her to bring her up to speed safely. We've got to know when our opinion and knowledge is required and only deliver it appropriately. That's the key to teaching this stuff effectively and getting results. Think about this. It's tricky to write anything in a KZfaq comment debate and get the tone just right. I don't think either of us are cunts here mate. I think your advice was well intended but less well put across! 😁 and definitely not so well received 😂😂.

BMW is trying to capitalize on the "Cafe" scene and in my opinion there is nothing "Cafe" about a BMW. I think the red frame makes the bike ugly as hell.
