You usually have a reserve tank with a few miles for when you run out though. Literally the bike stops, then change to the backup one 😂

You should ride only bikes you can handle. I drove similar bikes like this one and would not recommend it. Without the experience of at least 5 years daily driving, you will not enjoy it. It's like playing a guitar, the skill of the player makes the music. You will have lot of fun driving small bikes, once you learn to take them to the limit. Once I started to drive motorbikes, I lost all my passion for the cars. It's more than just a hobby, it's an attitude to life. Give it a try :-)

Up until now, I didn't particularly gel with Rory as an automotive TV presenter; but as he is a fellow biker, well that now changes everything. About the BMW bikes, at the moment BMW are making the best motorcycles you can buy, best quality, best design, best performance and best riding. Last year I test rode the s1000r, what an amazing machine that was to ride. If I had the disposable money, I would buy one in a heartbeat..

Best reviews out there currently honestly, only chris harris got close before he went off to top gear, your talent was such a waste in top gear and the scripted form top gear is always written did not let us see the true you, but these reviews are beautifully filmed, very informative and they feel so genuine. Mine cost 22,095 usd brand new. I have added almost all other M accessories to my M package. Next will be bren tuned ecu and full austin racing exhaust. So far no issues at 3500 miles

Rory you are very cool you know how to ride a bike. The BMW S1000RR is a very beautiful and high tech motorcycle. I like the automatic transmission and the electronic gauge cluster or speedometer. I hope they include the anti-falling tech or self redressing tech that I saw in a tech show in street bike.

It’s crazy to me when I think about this bike having 207 horsepower and other sports bikes having even more power when cars like the Corvette with it’s 5.7 liter V8 only had 165-230 horsepower from 1975 to 1985. Hell, even the Ferrari 308 only had a little over 230 horsepower for the US version in the early 1980’s. Granted we’re talking cars that are 40 years old and brand new motorcycles but still a little 1000cc engine pushing out over 200 hp compared to a 3+ liter V8 with the same or less is pretty impressive.

A couple of weeks ago I met a 65 year old man from the UK who drives the S1000RR from a couple of years back. Takes it every couple of months from the UK to the "Green Hell" for a couple of laps and than drives back home, packed with side and tailbags. Shows that when you want to, you can drive a supersport with age. Absolutely a stunner of a bike, would love to own one one day.

Surprisingly Rory is my favourite motorbike reviewer. He's got the right levels of informativeness, familiarity with the "regular guy" and fun to which a large audience can relate to I think. The fuel gauge comment, though...hmmm :-) !!!
